Dead Men Don't Rape

They've all lost something. No...everything.

Their lives ripped away. Their power, stolen. All given an invitation. A single question.

"Do you want retribution?"

An opportunity to speak their truth. There is only one rule.

"Give me your confession...within my sanctuary."

A deal struck with a devil cloaked in holiness, within a church built on deprivation and desire. A chance to reclaim what was taken. To taste control again.

Dead men don’t rape: out NOW

I ran to sign up for this ARC from Amanda, I knew it would be an anthology full of revenge and retribution & that’s my vibes through and through 👌🏻

This starts with getting a confession for a life ruined by the acts of one man, that first story was so powerful I had to stop before I could carry on to the next 😔

I soon realised each story was just as hard to read, as they are all so heavy & impactful but so brilliantly done. I felt all the emotions from start to finish.

I applaud all 6 of you, it’s an amazing anthology full of grief, revenge & brutal honesty. It’s a lasting impact & I feel privilege to of read this before released.

That being said, it is released on 30th July so makesure to grab yourself a copy! But please check your triggers! It’s not a light read by all means ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well, this was an exciting, albeit truly heavy, read! Obviously it won't be for everyone: it's extremely gory, graphic, violent, shocking, covering several different kinds of abuse (primarily domestic and sexual, including CA); but the point of the anthology is not violence or abuse, it's healing. Healing from the crimes perpetrated by men against women and children. And the healing process in this book takes the form of revenge torture: give the abuser some of his own medicine!

The six stories are outstanding examples of the sexual violence women and children face everyday by privileged men, men they trust, men in positions of authority and power. Whether a taxi driver or a cult leader, an uncle or a doctor, the characters in these stories find themselves humiliated, violated, threatened, shamed and controlled. But the anthology rests on a straightforward premise: there is an organization tracing the abusers and giving their victims the chance to take their revenge on them. Exploiting a dark web 'myth,' the notorious Red Rooms, the organizers transmit the revenge sessions live, making sure that the phrase serving as the anthology's title is always the desired outcome. This kind of self-fulfilling prophecy takes many forms from story to story, so extreme horror fans will find much to enjoy.

All the stories are impactful, with a solid grasp of the issues A couple, however, were my favorites:

Jerry Blaze's "L' aggression," a New French horror novella, quite graphic but ultimately cathartic; Blaze highlights precisely those details that make one automatically sympathize with the female victim's pain, and eagerly follow her into the violent path she's chosen to take in order to be herself again. It's also the only tale dealing with the aftermath and the traumatic residue this kind of actions involve.

Amanda Ruzsa's "Blinded by the Lies" was a different type of revenge tale, getting straight to the point and never looking for sympathy. The access to the perpetrator's mind was suffocating, though the idea that the punishment comes only after confession, a motif present in all the stories, was employed here to great effect.

The anthology should be praised for its brutal honesty and its insistence that living a life free of abuse is not a demand but an inalienable right. The stories build on this and come up with fast-paced, harrowing scenarios that feel totally realistic and deserve a radical kind of healing. Recommended!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

A marvelous deep and dark horrifying collection from 6 amazing authors.
These short stories are filled with mixtures of grief, revenge, horror and lots of different forms of mental and physical pain/abuse.
Each story is unique and different, but with the same underlying themes.
My heart was broken reading through a lot of these stories, as real life can be scary and often horrifying.
So many levels of pain and getting all of the strong feelings from reading this book!

I truly enjoyed all 6 of these stories,(A+ to all of them) but my top standouts are:
• Witness to the Wretched by Vivian Vandam
• L’agression by Jerry Blaze
• Blinded by the Lies by Amanda Ruzsa

This anthology is a fast read and I absolutely couldn’t put it down!
Kudos to all of these authors!

Thank you to Vivian Vandam for an arc of this beautiful written, and soul crushing book.
*It comes out July 30th and is a must read!!*

This is one of the most brilliant revenge story I've ever read. It's gorey, it makes you feel. Check your trigger warning before you read. This is a compilation of revenge for anyone who didn't have a voice who feels like I have small and unprotected. would absolutely read again

Awesome book. These were my favorites.

Each individual story follows an MC who has been SA by someone. The stories are gripping, brutal, and heart-wrenching. But the revenge is beautiful in every way. My favorite story is Witness to the Wretched. Something about this story had me feeling some type of way. The brutality inflicted was well deserved. I visualize the story as it's being read, I usually flinch or tense up. This time, there was a smirk on my face as revenge was served.

Blinded by the Lies was another favorite from the book. Just gonna say READ IT!

Crimson Lamb, from Alex N. Rose. This was another favorite of mine. Grace was the hero that we didn't know we needed.

The Book Of Dylan, that one packed a punch. Dylan knows trauma! He's dealt with it since he was 5. Revenge for Dylan was amazing. He shows us what a "pain in the ass" he can be.

this is a solid collection of stories that cover a very hard topic. Not only does it cover the violence of what many women and men go through, but it also includes the emotional nightmare each victim has to navigate afterwards. I really enjoyed that even though this is written by various authors, they are all connected, so it feels like a single story. It is very gory, but that is expected considering the subject matter. This was hard to read at times but worth it, and I loved that male victims are included in this collection.

Dead Men Don’t Rape is a powerful and unapologetically violent revenge anthology. The interconnected stories follow victims who refuse to stay silent or broken, turning the tables on their abusers and reclaiming their power. This book is graphic, raw, and emotionally painful at times—but there’s also something deeply healing in watching these survivors come out on top. It is absolutely a trigger-warning read, but for those who can handle it, it’s an intense and cathartic experience that’s well worth it.

Rape/Revenge horror is one of my absolute favorite subgenres, because, of that satisfying feeling of redemption, and, justice being served. This anthology was amazing! It got into sexual assault from a wide variety of assailants, really illustrating how you never know who could take advantage of people they view as weak, or, "easy prey". All of the stories really touch on the experiences of the survivors, having to live with the memories, and, trauma of the events that broke them. Two tales, in particular, that, I felt really excelled at making you feel the protagonist's deep rooted trauma, were: "L'Agression" by Jerry Blaze, and, "The Book of Dylan" by Max Douglas. The gore, and, splendid torture are very prevalent in all of the beautifully written short stories of vengeance, and, the regaining of power over your own mind, body, and, soul.

This anthology is dark, addictive, and gutting. Some stories left me enraged, others made me cheer, and a few made me question whether revenge heals or just reopens the wound. What I loved most is how unflinching it is — not every survivor gets closure, but every voice demands to be heard. It’s messy, it’s furious, and it’s necessary.
