Best family dogs In the Opinion of the author

This is a Very short list of dogs for families. I was surprised to not see Beagles mentioned. Also surprising was no poodles ( very smart & easily trained), Newfoundlands, Old English Sheepdog, American Staffordshire Terrier ( previously called the Nanny dog ). These are just a few examples, off the top of my head, that I would have added to the list.
