Christmas in Pine Hollow was supposed to be simple. Plan my best friend's wedding. Eat too many cookies. Avoid the three alphas who broke my heart.

I'm Savannah Hale, curvy omega and wedding planner who ran out of this small town eight years ago with a broken heart and mascara stains. Now I'm back to plan my best friend's Christmas Eve wedding, and the universe has a sick sense of humor.

There's Logan, the firefighter who was my first love, who swore he'd love me forever and then burned me. Griff, the builder who forgot I even existed and stood me up. And Theo, the charming doctor who faked a girlfriend just to ghost me.

I swore I'd keep it professional. Three months of flower orders, cake tastings, and strictly business.

If only life was that simple.

Because their pack is a hot mess, my heat hits during the biggest blizzard Pine Hollow has ever seen, and suddenly these alphas who once broke me are the only ones who can hold me together.

They used to be the boys who shattered me. Now they're the men who bite, knot, and promise they'll never let me go again.

Three alphas. One omega. A second chance buried in the snow.

Eight years ago, Savannah Hale ran from Pine Hollow with a shattered heart and mascara-stained cheeks. Now she’s back to plan her best friend’s Christmas Eve wedding, determined to stay professional and keep her distance. That plan unravels the second she sees them again, Logan, Griff, and Xavier, the three alphas who once promised her forever and left her in pieces.

Logan’s steadier now, guilt behind every careful word. Griff hides regret behind easy charm. Xavier’s calm control cracks the moment he looks at her. They’ve all changed, but old scars run deep. When a blizzard traps them together, secrets melt the ice between them and the lines between past and present blur. ‍

Resentment turns into reckoning. Forgiveness begins to grow in the quiet moments between arguments and laughter. Savannah’s strength starts to shine again as she learns to trust herself and them. Together, they rebuild something stronger than what broke them, a bond that feels like home in the glow of Christmas lights.

A slow burn to steamy, small town, snowed in, holiday, why choose omegaverse romance filled with second chances, found family, self worth, emotional healing, and redemption. It’s about coming home to the people who broke you, rebuilding trust one fragile step at a time, and finding strength in vulnerability. At its heart, it’s a story of love after loss, of choosing to stay, to forgive, and to find belonging in a love that feels like coming in from the cold.

The premise, character chemistry, and heartfelt themes of forgiveness and belonging are engaging and full of potential. Still, inconsistent world-building, pacing issues, and editing errors sometimes break the flow. It’s cozy and charming at its core, but it needs a little more polish to truly shine.

The Elevator Pitch: A steamy holiday second chance romance where sparks reignite in the middle of a snowstorm and hearts have one more shot at forever. When love, regret, and desire collide, walls crumble and trust is rebuilt in the glow of Christmas lights. It’s emotional, addictive, and filled with the kind of heat that melts more than snow. While the story’s heart shines through, noticeable inconsistencies and editing issues keep it from reaching its full potential.

This was about a 3.5 star story for me. This definitely has potential to be a wonderful read. It's low angst and fluffy.

First the good-
The storyline definitely lets you know it's gonna be a more fluffy romance over super angsty. There were some issues that needed to be hashed out between the FMC and the MMCs indivdually. And between the 3 MMCs themselves as a pack. Truths needed to come out, but I do like that the author didn't just gloss over everything. She also didn't wait until the middle of the book to hash out ALL the details. We did see some things wait until later but they weren't glaring you in the face.

The not so good...

If we ignored the POV mistake (which is an easy fix), there was still points that didn't line up. The guys seemed SO flakey at first it made me not want to continue read it. I did finish and they did end up working out their stuff but it felt like a forced issue versus a natrual thing a pack could go through? Timing and plot issues, the names being changed. I wish it was explained the difference between - birth pack vs mated pack vs bound pack. Because that was like said but never explained? So it was strange to just leave it where it was dropped.

It read a bit chaotic, I could tell where the author wanted the story to go, but it wasn't a clear direction. There was also side things going on that didn't add to the story just more chaos. I understand wanting to leave the "door" open for other stories to come out but it either needed to be fleshed out more or said as a passing statement versus IN the middle of one of the issues.

One thing that's definitely a personal thing is the best friend. I did NOT LIKE HER at all. I didn't like how deceitful she was, whether she did it for her "best friend" or not. It felt like lies and not a "I know what's best for you" thing. I would've dropped the best friend. She was not a good bestie to the FMC almost the entire book. At the very end she did something selflessly but not great. I also feel like the bestie's drama was... to add another layer of drama just to add it.

DNF. too many inconsistencies

Griff built the house while she was gone. Yet at one point, he’s thinking about holding her up against the “same wall just like he used to”

Is it summer or autumn or winter? She gets there and swelters in 100 degree heat waiting to be picked up. A few weeks later, they’re arranging autumn flowers. The next day, she’s wearing a wool pea coat.

And the set-up itself? Why does her life have to be imploding? The plot would work without it. Why would she agree to live with the 3 men who broke her? Why would her “best friend” set her up to live with those men as though the men are more important than her “best friend’s” mental health? Why does she clean their house top to bottom in the first day there instead of turning around and leaving? Why does she accept so much less from these men than what she deserves?

I just couldn’t finish it. It was too much of a reach to even care about these characters, much less to care about whether they finally took their heads out of their butts to behave like adults.

potential to be better

Although Emma is not the main character, this story relied heavily on her and her alpha as it centered around her wedding planning by Savannah. It seemed Emmas part of the story centered more around Emma and Marcus rather than also including her other two alphas (Derek and Ryan). There were also concerning moments, where none of her alpha’s seem interested in wedding preparations and or clearly not interested. At the end of the book, David says vows to Emma, but David is not one of her alphas- David is a college friend there for the wedding. Derek is supposedly the groom although he does not pop up very frequently in the book. Derek‘s name was also mentioned as Jessica’s psycho Alpha ex. The inconsistencies with the names is confusing and took me out of the story several times. I had to search the book for these names to figure out who is who.

Savannah‘s relationship with her alpha‘s was also confusing. There were a lot of inconsistencies with thoughts and things being said to and from Savannah and the alphas. There was a major moment where Logan claimed Savannah and it didn’t mention much about the actual bite and claim with feeling each other‘s emotions, the same with Griff. But, when Theo claimed her, it discussed her feeling his emotions. It also bothered me how the story led up to Savannah being physically claimed by each of her alpha‘s, but there weren’t any details. It was pretty much fade to black. But there were other times when details were explicit. This author needs to pick a lane and stick with it. If you’re going to describe a scenario with one of the alpha‘s first times with the omega, each alpha’s first time with her physically should also be described. It was very confusing and parts were scattered and fragmented. There were also a couple of parts throughout the book, that made a reader believe there was some type of physical relationship between the alpha’s, but nothing more came of it. Again, the author needs to stick with a story And not sprinkle in little inconsistencies that confuse a reader.

decent story, terrible execution

I really wanted to enjoy this book since the concept was cute, but it very much felt like a first draft. There are tons of inconsistencies and typos, and there are plot devices not normally seen in OV but never fully explained. I don’t normally review books I DNF but I felt obligated on this one, as a warning to other readers. I DNF’d around Ch. 3 but based off other reviews, I doubt it magically got better further along.

Sooooo… are we all just ignoring the heat scene???

I felt that the characters had very little chemistry. It definitely felt more like the narrative telling of how they formed their business as opposed to how they formed their pack.

Not only was the romance lacking, I don’t quite know how I feel about the heat scene, but it’s certainly not good. In most OVs, an omega’s heat pheromones impact alphas. I’m sorry, but I can’t help but think what would’ve happened if Logan wasn’t there to bait away the six alphas that were hunting Savannah down. It did not feel very realistic inside this world that was built by the author. Well I read dark romance, and would expect a similar situation in a dark OV, in this book, it came out of nowhere, and those alphas were not held accountable for their actions. It was shrugged off and treated like it’s part of life. I felt the topic was handled in incredibly inappropriately.

Love the story but not the execution

This would have been a 4 - or 5-star book if there weren't so many issues with inconsistency. There were quite a few times when I had to stop because an important plot point was referenced as if it was already divulged or details did not match between chapters. It feels like the editor did not get a chance to do a final pass to make sure everything flowed correctly. Otherwise, I did love this book--the plot, the characters and their quirks were engaging.

Unintentionally, this book mirrors the chaos of its central relationship: messy, confusing, and all over the place. Savannah fled Pine Hollow eight years ago with a shattered heart after being romantically involved with Xavier, Griffin, and Logan—though notably not all at once. From the very beginning, though, the story raises more questions than it answers. Savannah is supposedly a wildly successful, in-demand wedding planner… yet a single disastrous event is enough to completely torpedo her reputation and leave her financially destitute? That felt like a stretch. So, when her best friend Emma calls asking her to plan her wedding, Savannah has no choice but to return to the town she swore she’d never see again. Emma, however, clearly has her own agenda, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that Savannah was manipulated into an unfair, and emotionally loaded situation. Things escalate quickly. Like, before Savannah has even finished unpacking, she’s suddenly living with the very three Alphas who once broke her heart. Say what now? While Savannah was away, Xavier, Griffin, and Logan apparently formed a pack and wouldn’t you know it, they now “need” an omega to balance them out. How Savannah ever agreed to this arrangement is truly anyone’s guess. Even more baffling is Savannah’s immediate descent into domestic servitude. She walks into their filthy house and promptly cleans it from top to bottom. I couldn’t help wondering: where’s women’s lib when you need it? Is she a potential partner… or their live-in maid? That dynamic made it hard to root for the romance, especially since I never truly felt a romantic connection between Savannah and any of her Alphas. Despite boldly declaring that she’d make them grovel, Savannah gives in far too easily for my taste. Adding to the confusion were continuity issues such as Xavier’s profession. Is he a doctor or a vet? One moment he’s rushing off to a multi-car accident, the next he’s treating someone’s cat. And that’s just one example in a growing list of inconsistencies. That said, it wasn’t all frustration. The banter, humor, and sheer awkwardness of the four characters reconnecting were genuinely entertaining. Logan ended up being my favorite Alpha, largely thanks to his genuine remorse at how he’d treated Savannah, though honestly, he also had the most to make up for. As a devoted Omegaverse fan, I could clearly see the potential here. The bones of a cozy, feel-good redemption arc are absolutely present. With another solid round of editing and tighter plotting, this story could easily become a reader favorite.

Confusing. Thats the best word to describe this.

The author takes the time to have a section explaining her omegaverse world, but she neglects to go into the ways it’s different from all other omegaverse. In the very first chapter, we are introduced to the term “birth pack.” I assumed an explanation would come at some point, but not only did we never learn what that means, we added other types of packs. Apparently there are birth packs, mated packs, and bonded packs, and an omega can have all of them at the same time. Even the characters of the book are confused.

“Turns out she had both a birth pack and a mated pack." Griffin whistles low, the sound cutting through the ambient noise of the pub. "I thought mated and bonded packs were the same thing."

Don’t let that quote fool you into thinking that was a conversation giving the readers explanations, because not a single definition for the types of packs is ever given. Even weirder, this huge change in omegaverse world building doesn’t even matter. We never learn what type of packs our characters are in. All of the birth, mated, bonded talk was about other people who aren’t actually part of the book.

Furthermore, the dynamics between pack members aren’t explained. Emma, our FMC’s best friend is marrying Marcus, but Marcus is a member of a pack. We barely see the other pack members and they don’t seem to be a part of the wedding. There are other mentions of a single groom among a pack.

"The groom was convinced the cattle would be 'atmospheric. And the pack wasn't helpful either. They did nothing to support anything I suggested.”

In the first chapter from Logan’s POV, he mentions that he “didn’t even let Griff come spend the night,” which clearly implies a relationship more than friendship, but that is never mentioned again.

At one point Xavier makes this statement…
"Having a human mate, it felt like too much.”
A human mate as opposed to….?

There are also so many errors that make things more confusing. For example, Xavier is introduced as a doctor, and Dax (whose real name is Marcus which also adds confusion) is a vet, but in the next chapter, it’s mentioned that Xavier would be operating on pets. I decided I was wrong and Xavier was the vet, but a few chapters later and Xavier is called into the ER. POVs changed, events happened out of order, descriptions would change, etc.

Overall, like far too many books I’ve read lately, it just needs someone to edit.

Yeah, I'm fucking confused... I can't DNF a book, because it will haunt me 'till my dying days that I don't know how it ends. But men, was this a struggle to finish.

There were SO many inconsistencies, in a house that was newly build but also stood there 8 years ago? I'm not quite certain if the dude who marries her best friend is named Marcus or Dax, or are they a pack? or is it the same person? Speaking of the best friend, why is Savannah still friends with her? Nice to want your best friend happy again, but I don't know if this was the way.
The weird first bonding were she later says it was without consent, and several chapters later there wasn't a bond anymore?

Also; the surprise snowstorm with all those guests at the wedding venue? And what's with the weird matchmaking and shouting vibe? Surprise heat, okay can live with that. But the feral unmated alpha's who wanted to hunt her down even when she was claimed? And they were led into the snowstorm, which was like a death-sentence a chapter ago?

Yeah sorry, I'm so confused right now... I hate giving one star, because I truly respect the authors and their passion for the stories they tell. But this just wasn't it for me.

I struggled a little with this book.

The storyline behind the book had SO much potential. I was captivated by what could have been, but I feel like the story written was a bit of a let down for my expectations. There was some major POV issues and numerous times I had to go back to figure out who was being talked about. I feel like there were too many minor characters who were given too much space in this book for it to be easy to follow.

I did like how Savannah ended up finding her pack that she was meant to always be with. They ended up being a great pack together but it took them a lot of work to get there. There are many small details in this book that have the potential to bloom into full stories.

3.5/5 This is a polyamor small town shifter story.
Savannah is back in town to help plan her best friend's wedding. She left this place years ago after heart breaks, and made a name for her (as a plannr) only to lose it all after one failed event. Now she will have to deal with Logan, Griff, and Theo, the three alphas who broke her heart and haven't forgotten her either.

This is a slow burn type story that will give each one a chance to explore forgiveness and redemption and build on the left over feelings from the past. Then a snowstorm traps them, her pheromones take over, and her lovers will claim her. Now they have to work on getting a HEA.

Savannah is a wedding planner she’s also an omega when she gets a call from her best friend and says that she’s going to get married and she wants Savannah to do the wedding for her but Savannah doesn’t want to go back home because of the men who broke her heart. I don’t know why people have a problem with this story yeah sure there were a couple of pages that was repeated but you can just pass them by, I for one loved this story and the characters and I recommend you give this story a try and I can’t wait to read book 2.
I read a copy of this book through my kindle unlimited maybe that makes a difference.

DNF a little over halfway thru. Those guys suck. they act like they are 5 years old. There is practically no groveling for the way things ended that made her leave the town. They still have not gotten their crap together. She came back and immediately was cleaning and trying to keep them together. I started this book because i like starting at the beginning of a series but i think i might just jump to the next one and hope that one is better. Honestly it has got to be better than this one. sorry i don't normally leave these kind of reviews but i literally cannot get thru the rest of this book. I tried so hard, but man i physically can't do it.

DNF's at 22%. It would have happened before, but I wanted to give it an honest try. The story has potential. It's the inconsistency that does me in. There's one character that I'm not sure what his correct name is. He's Emma's alpha, but is his name Dex or Michael? I don't know, but those names were used like they were the same person in different paragraphs and there were no other people involved who could be put with the extra name. Also, the story has details that are repetitive, but others that is seems like the reader should already know about be not previously mentioned. This is the second book by this author that I couldn't finish. I won't try another.

Knot Your typical OV. Plus size inclusion.

Messy breakups, second chances, and a pack of protective knots? Yes, please. Knot My Exes delivers the perfect mix of spice, sass, and heart. Watching Savannah try to juggle ex-drama while being claimed in all the best ways was both hilarious and addictive. The banter crackles, the tension burns, and the knots? Chef’s kiss. If you like your omegaverse served with drama, redemption, and more than a little heat, this one will keep you hooked (and probably blushing).

Confused

All I can say is that I was thoroughly confused. New characters popped out of nowhere like they were always meant to be there, names were changed, the epilogue had a strange m/m moment that seemed to come out of no where and it seemed things jumped around like they were missing parts or something. I loved Savanah's bluntness and strength. But was very confused by the story. Sorry. 🙁

This was a cute little love story. Savannah had her hurt broke not once, but three times. The men where cute they each brought something different different to the table and the bestfriend Emma is a hot mess but we love her. I really enjoyed the story it was a warm feel good type of a story, with a few sprinkles of spice.

I loved reading this story. I didn't want it to end. I was caught in the action from the first page. I love reading second chance stories. Savannah ran away from home after she got a broken heart. She is back to help her friend and didn't want to run into Logan, Griff and Xavier again. Fate has other plans for her though. The men want another shot with her. Will they get their second chance?

Needs lots of work but cute

I liked the idea but goodness the problems
Plot mess ups, timing, facts, spelling errors, names of the packs were changed, missing, even fine, hell even the loss of the best friend were changed several times in description.

That being said, if they were fixed, the idea would be cute for a low angst fluffy story.

I thought this book was super cute! I absolutely loved it. Once I started reading I didn't want to stop! I enjoyed the banter ( some parts had me giggling), the character growth, the ending all of it! With all of the dark books I read this was definitely a nice little refresher. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a cute omegaverse romance! ❤️

DNF’d at page 106. Sorry, there was no editing done. I couldn’t handle the trad wife omega who had no backbone. And the thought of how filthy those guys’ place was had my skin crawling.
It could have been a cute story line with a little more time and attention given to actually writing it.

I don’t know what happened! I was thinking 4 star minimum until we got to the big event at the end. Everything stopped making sense. POV changes mid chapter, more new character names than anyone could keep up with (and we’re 70% into the book????), and plot points that just stopped making sense.

Great read.

This was a great second chance romance, I did enjoy that all the exes realised that they had messed up previously and now needed to work hard to win Savannah's trust, and love, back.
Beautiful ending too.
