This is an inspiring collection of radio scripts about "the life of Jesus" written by a brother and sister team, Maria Lopez Vigil, and Jose Ignacio Vigil. She is a Catholic nun; he is a former priest.I first read these scripts in Spanish as "Un Tal Jesus." When they were aired throughout Latin America years ago,the programs scandalized many and inspired many more. They truly humanize Jesus. And, as the endnotes show, they are all based on solid scholarship. I frequently laughed and teared throughout my reading.

Another book by the Lopez Vigils that I highly recommend (and that I couldn't find on Goodreads) is "Another God Is Possible." It's a series of radio interviews with Jesus who has returned to earth only to be scandalized by the stories and beliefs surrounding him. Once again, the endnotes here are almost more valuable than the very entertaining interviews.

3 volumes. Very good - tells the story of the Christian gospel in a very down-to-earth (earthy) way.
