琴操，古代中国琴曲著作。为解说琴曲标题的著作。传为东汉蔡邕所撰。二卷。它是现存介绍早期琴曲作品最为丰富而详尽的专著。原书已佚，经后人辑录成书。包括有：诗歌五首、九引、十二操和河间杂歌二十多首。书中对每首作品的有关故事内容都作了介绍，这些故事带有浓厚的中国民间传奇的色彩，往往和史书有很大的出入，所以《乐府解题》说：《琴操》纪事好与本传相违。其实，不拘泥于史实，根据人们的愿望加工创造，正是民间创作的特点之一。
