This volume examines aspects of Borges's work such as his aesthetic sensibilities and the interactions of his characters and plots with the concept of the absurd (cf. Camus) in an engaging and informative fashion. A must for aficionados of the master who are interested in another's perceptions and understanding of some of the greatest works of literature of the twentieth century.

Didn't like the way this book was organized. In the section on the thematic elements of Borges's writing there's just a copycat formula of a short review of the story followed by an almost word-for-word explanation of how the story fits into theme X, Y, Z.
