This book didn’t just tell a story
it dragged me into someone’s mind and locked the door behind me
I still don’t know if what I read was all inside Portagas Silver’s head, or if the world around him was truly that twisted
But what I do know is… I loved being lost in it

SPOILERS‼️
(Just feelings, I promise)

And Amaya… God.
She was there so briefly, and yet her absence hit me harder than some entire character arcs in other books.
I’m honestly still grieving her

And Colourless?
He barely spoke, barely moved… but he haunted me.
There was something terrifying in his silence
He didn’t need dramatic scenes to break my heart. He just stood there, quietly unraveling

That said… this book isn’t for everyone
It leans into symbolism deeply. Sometimes the pacing slows down just enough to make you feel lost on purpose.
There were moments I had to reread entire paragraphs just to stay with it
And the lack of clear answers? It can be frustrating if you’re used to closure or classic structure

But maybe that’s the whole point
Maybe it’s supposed to make you feel exactly what Portagas felt: Uncertain. Stripped down. Drenched in silence. And desperately trying to remember who you are

If you’re into stories that don’t hand you meaning, but instead make you search for it this book will stay with you
Maybe not in your head
But definitely in your chest.

This novel is amazing, the fact that us readers have no clue of what’s going on half of the time is truly mind challenging. I really appreciated the two povs showing us different perspectives of different protagonists. The friendship of عديم اللون and the غراب is fascinating even if complicated, it’s like they are destined to find each other..

!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

I don’t want to spoil that much but the deaths are heartbreaking, it’s like losing someone you know and actually feeling grief. The chaos before the disappearance of بورتاغاس gives me a headache, i want to know what happened to him i feel like we’re hanging from a cliff waiting to know more..
Either way as i said the writer narrated to us a wonderful story making us feel EVERYTHING (still tearing up for امايا by the way).

!!!END OF SPOILER!!!!
I hope to have news soon and i recommend this novel if you like to read while holding your breath because of the uncertainty of what is going to happen. One thing that i have to say is that killing too many characters is brutal but i think that it’s a way to let the reader know that nothing is forever lasting and we should be prepared for the worst..
