This is a superb debut book by this new author, which is also the first book in a trilogy. It's a very dark, disturbing, thriller with a shocking ending. This sort of book usually isn't my preference, but The Paparazzi was so well-written that I couldn't put it down.
I won't go too deep into the plot to prevent spoilers. The story is set in New York City among the artist and art collector worlds. The FMC is a Paparazzi covering the art showings and charity galas where those two worlds meet. She not only uncovers an illicit affair by a socialite and art patron, she also discovers murders that seem to have connections to that world of wealth and glamour.
