This book is written for those of us who love Kansas City & Kansas City Chiefs Football. The Dallas Texans / Kansas City Chiefs have achieved many championships over the years, This is to their credit along with many close calls. We cover them all in this book. We report on all the thrilling seasons and the big games that made a big difference in Kansas City Chiefs Football history.
This book briefly reviews the founding of the American Football League and the founding of the Dallas Texans in 1960, (later became the KC Chiefs). From the first Texans game, it was obvious this team had the mettle and the championship blood to go places in the new league. The great games in the Chiefs past have amazed fans its for years.
This book takes the Chiefs fan from when there were no Chiefs and no Texans teams at all to a merger with the greatest league ever—the NFL. From here, in this book, we travel all the way through the first ten years with zero losing seasons, five second place finishes; three first place finishes; two AFL Championships, Five Super Bowls, and three Super Bowl victories. At this point the team, even before it was in the NFL, had many more great NFL years to go to. Now, that’s a great start for any team. Sometimes admittedly the Chiefs struggled for a couple wins but most of the other times, the team was dominating.
This book captures all of those great games, championship seasons, almost championship seasons, and great victories along the way to today. In that period the Chiefs went from being the Dallas Texans, the greatest team in the AFL, to being the AFL Kansas City Chiefs, again the best team in the AFL, to being one of the best teams in the NFL to being the #1 team in the NFL having captured the World Championship Trophy twice in the last four years.
