A Small Town Christmas

Rate this book
Miracles can happen in a town called Christmas… especially when the boy next door grows up into the man you never saw coming.

Dulcie Bright never planned to spend the holidays back in Christmas Springs. Tourists adore the place, but for locals the twinkle lights and tinsel come with old memories she’d rather avoid.

Then she runs into Adam Carlton.

Adam was once eldest brother of the boys next door. Now he’s a brooding attorney with a perfect fiancée, a perfectly planned life… and absolutely no room for the girl who used to trail after him in snow boots ... Or so he thinks.

When Dulcie gets pulled into the Carlton family festive chaos and all their mismatched romances, she finds herself drawn back into Adam’s orbit. Except this time, he’s the one watching her.

With mistletoe mischief, nosy neighbours, and sparks that refuse to stay buried, Dulcie begins to wonder if the right Carlton has been right in front of her all along…

A sweet, small-town grumpy/sunshine Christmas romance full of snowy nights, cozy moments, and a slow-burn love that feels like coming home.

Welcome to Christmas Springs—where every book brings a brand-new couple and a brand-new happily ever after.

Perfect Christmas Cozy!

I actually chose this book mostly because it is a shorter book in length. It sounded good and I am getting close to my yearly goal. I was right, and so happy I chose it. The more I read, the more I wanted to read. It is absolutely a quick read, but not because it is lacking anything. It is absolutely cozy and clean. The characters are wonderful. The community is fascinating. I would love to visit there if it was real. It ticked all the boxes for me. I do recommend to anyone.

A quick, enjoyable Christmas read. While the romance storyline was predictable, the characters and banter were fun. It made me want to be with them at their Christmas Eve dinner.

I liked the story and the characters. Would have been even better if an editor had read through it. Also, a few too many similes and metaphors like the author was trying to get extra credit on an English paper.

A typical Hallmark Christmas movie. Christmas Springs sounds fun, but the real soul lies in the drama within. So many new romances in one place, and not all so healthy ones. Trying to navigate the family drama at Christmas would be murder, but it all works out in a very sweet, cozy way. This was a quick read and very easy read. It is beautifully written cozy read.

Sweet clean romance story

Very chaotic Christmas gathering of family. A close family friend comes home to lend a hand when the parents go out of town and leave the grown ups in charge of the teenage daughter. What follows is a plenty of chaos and couples falling in love. Very enjoyable story.

The Holiday Romance I Didn’t Know I Needed

I’m pretty sure this is the first book I’ve read by Stella Wilkinson, and it was positively delightful. The central story of Dulcie and Adam was woven into several others that made for a well-rounded, comfortable, and engaging read. I’m going to put Ms. Wilkinson’s name in my Kindle Unlimited notes.

This was a very sweet big city girl comes back to her small town rom-com. It was very Hallmark-ish in a good way. Nosy neighbors, teenage drama, and an almost Christmas surprise home birth made for a story that felt like you were there with the Carltons and Dulcie. I highly recommend it.

Sweet read,

Predictable ending, but isn't that the reason why we read these books? Loved it, maybe Mes. Cromm could use a visitor next!!
