You might not guess it when you pick up your first Selena novel, but Selena is a true romantic. She writes gritty, realistic New Adult contemporary novels with characters you'll love to hate and hate to love.

If reading about teens behaving badly upsets you, steer clear because these are full of drama, angst, fighting, drugs, sex, and rock & roll. There will be times you want to throw your Kindle. There will be lying, cheating, bullying, backstabbing, violence, and hard-earned, sweet redemption for those who won't give up on love. Because life's not always picture perfect, but every heart, no matter how broken and damaged, deserves love.

The book is intense from the start, with Mercy locked in a creepy island asylum and constantly pushed to her limits, so it never really feels slow. The tone is heavy and twisted, definitely more dark academia and psychological than fluffy romance.

Mercy is stubborn, hurt, and still somehow hopeful, which makes it easy to root for her even when everything around her is awful.

The Quint well what’s left of them anyway, are obsessive and morally gray, very ride or die, which works if you like possessive, damaged men rather than soft boys.

The asylum setting, missing best friend mystery, and hostage road trip vibe with the guys dragging along an enemy keep things tense and dramatic. It leans into themes of control, obsession, and “are we too far gone to be saved,” so it feels more like a survival story with romance than a standard campus love story.

Very much a dark romance: lots of triggers, lots of emotional wreckage, but a satisfying wrap up if you’ve been following Mercy’s story from the start.
This is NOT a chill comfort read, but great if you’re in the mood for chaotic, dramatic, all or nothing love with a gothic edge.

I’m so obsessed with this series!!! I loved how this book ended and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. This is part of The Confessions of Mercy Soules and needs to be read in order. This book is a why choose dark bully romance and definitely check the CW because woah not this series is a doozy!!! Selena has created a dark and devious series with characters that with have you laughing, crying and fist-pumping throughout this book and series. The storyline is original and page-turning, filled with drama, suspense, mystery, some taboo, angst and the spice level is through the roof. I loved this series and was sad that it’s over!!! I so can’t wait to see what Congress next from Selena.

I received an ALC from the author. The Bordeaux’s did a phenomenal job with the narration, these two never disappoint!

Book 4 of this series was 5⭐️ 5🎙️5🌶️

Forgive me Father for I have sinned… and I think I’ll forever sin when it comes to Dante Salvatore!

So many questions were finally answered regarding Heaths sister and who swiped Mercy’s v card.

The v card swiper was unapologetic and no regrets with his actions. He officially has the poker face of all poker faces, lol.

They characters had a lot of development and the unholiness of this series was chefs kiss!

Of Sinners and Salvation Confessions of Mercy Soules is book 4 in The (Fallen Gods of Thorncrown Universit). It is the final book in the series and wraps everything up perfectly. This story picks up were book 3 ended on that cliffhanger.
This book follows Saint, Angel, Heath and father Dante as they search for Mercy after she was kidnapped in the last book. Another fantastic story in the series, the characters developed over the 4 books and it was well written. I learned all the secrets I wanted answers to and I loved how we were introduced to other characters which could mean new stories in this world

review for whole series and as the final book for Mercy

Okay. On a whole this series made me seriously uncomfortable but also broke my heart a little bit at a time for each of these wounded souls. The traumas experienced, the heart wrenching road to some form of healing I think was really well written. So underneath a whole lot of taboo 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ you get a very sincere story.

Now there are typos and misspellings here and there. I always wish I could be a final proofreader for authors lol I always catch the small ish.

If you can handle the triggers I do recommend this series.

This series started with trying to figure out what happened to Eternity Stone and it all leads to this explosive last book.
It picks up where the last one left off and the guys trying to find Mercy while finding out more about themselves. This is definitely the steamiest and most naughty of the series. Definitely not one to read at work...like I did and turned super red at.

This book also introduced so many new characters and plot lines that I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Series Review

First a lot of errors. Confusing characters names, including the FMC. It was sometimes hard to follow who was speaking because of inconsistency.

Anyways I wasn’t entirely sure of the plot for a while, then I found it, and then it kinda just vanished at the end. We don’t actually learn much in regards to it either.

Idk it was an ok way to pass the time but not something I’d want for the trophy shelve, re-read or probably remember the next day.

If Selena writes it, I am reading it! The conclusion to this series was everything I wanted and more. I think Saint should have done more groveling though lol. Mercy is a fierce FMC, which I love reading about. This series will be a re-read for sure. You have plot, spice, banter, taboo elements, & suspense. I couldn't put this book or the other 3 books down. Highly recommend.

Oh Goodness! Mercy and her men! It picks up right where it left off with that crazy cliffy! I couldn't put this deliciousness down. There was so much to devour, so many loose threads to pull. I loved every last word... From here to Eternity! Lol yup I said it... I really can't get enough of the Quint and their father.

Final book continues on from the last cliffhanger and it’s a wild ride. if you have triggers when reading this series then this isn't for you. It continues with the theme of darkness, unhinged, twisted and broken characters but somehow find solace and something special between them all. Mercy is literally at the mercy of these three very different but equally powerful men. A RH at its finest.

Great ending to this section ofthat. Books

Could have been better I think they i think she could have put more smut at the beginning of the book. This book feels like it was rushed. And she only got the priest.
Time two times if you count at the ending, which I definitely don't think you could. It could have been so much better.Seemed like it was rushed to me, but still a good

I do not want to say goodbye to these characters. I have enjoyed all 3 previous books and was nervous about this final book. It did not disappoint. It gave you the answers and created a little bit of "could there be a spin off series" vibe. Mercy and her boys will always be a fav of mine.

4.25/5 stars!

What an ending! This series was so much fun to listen to. The spice was top tier, and the deeper themes of religious trauma, mental health, and low self image is just well done. I really enjoyed these listens.
