Fantastic introductory point of care ultrasound text for medical students, residents and fully trained physicians - great for both complete novices and semi-seasoned amateurs. Gives just enough detail, and always brings it back to the bedside with a focus on the practical applications. I read the entire text in preparation for and during an introductory POCUS course and found it complemented and reinforced what I learned at the bedside during my prior training and prepared me well for the hands on portions of the course.

In addition, the digital version of the text on Inkling through ExpertConsult has great videos demonstrating what you should be seeing - basically moving versions of the images in the text. The Inkling app makes this really easy to access on the fly with your phone and makes for a powerful POCUS refresher with Youtube and the SonoSite video library!
