I am reading and studying and reading and studying and making little index cards and beating my brains out trying to study this book and pass the test associated with it.
I passed the tests and shelved the book. On to peds!
This text is an easy read. It places all the important information into one neat little text. This text helped me during my OB semester in nursing school.
As of today, I'm done with maternity nursing. Yes, I learned a lot. No, I don't want to assess a uterine fundus ever again. I'm giving this book just one star not because I'm not passionate about labia and lochia and lanugo... it was poorly organized, had subpar illustrations and photos, and the worst index of any nursing text I've used. I passed it on to a classmate today and now I understand why the classmate who gave it to me didn't feel comfortable charging me very much for it.
Worst of all my RN school textbooks. I had to buy it, because it was required by our school, but our instructors spent a lot of time bringing in, and posting, supplemental material for lecture (and online), because THEY didn't care for the book.
