How does one rate a law book? Wicked long (500 pages!?), tons of detail, often repetitive. BUT, if I was ever in a bind, this would be my go to text (like, even before Google). Glad to move on to regular school law next week (sighs).
Read this book for a grad class. First time I was required to read a text book cover to cover for a class. Overall, informative. I will definitely be referencing this book as needed in my profession. Written by the legal counsel of some of the court cases listed in the book. The author does not use person first language in some instances in the book and that detracts from the overall rating of the book. If you’re going to write with an air of authority and superiority, then your writing should be flawless.
I read this book for a class and this book does what it needs to do. It is better than reading the actual laws... I think every educator should know some of this, so I recommend becoming familiar with Special Education law.
