Every October I find projects for the month in October Patterns, Projects and Plans to Perk Up Early Learning Programs. Projects for fall start the month, then Columbus Day and what it means to our history is covered. October has Fire Prevention Week and this book has some fun ways to help children learn about what to do in an emergency fire situation. The October vocabulary activity is a good start to increase children's vocabulary one of our literacy goals. This is part of a set of book with ideas for each month and all are wonderful references for ideas in the early childhood classroom.
