Autumn Love Blossoms is the first in the Briarcliff Springs series. A series of interconnected standalone novels that can be read separately. Intended for ages 18 and over.
This book started off cute and has a good story line. However, the more I read it, the cringier it got. In my opinion, it had too many very explicit, spicy scenes. I would’ve liked to see the story expanded on Charlotte’s mom coming back into her life more. I also don’t know how I felt about how many pumpkin spice lattes were drank. It just kept happening over and over again. I felt like the ending was sort of abrupt and I noticed a few grammatical errors throughout the book.
I want to say a big thank you for the opportunity to read this as an ARC reader. This book is well written if not slightly a little reminiscent of the love story type books that were once called the quick romance reads. The story line for me (and this is purely relevant to me), was very much predictable. Girl meets boy, they fall madly in love, but the ex comes in and throws spanner in the works, but finally they live happily ever after. The Gilmore Girl type village was described beautifully. I found the wholesome town and charitable living caring town folks really nice but found the intimacy didn’t fit . By that I mean, the FMC is portrayed as a loving country type girl who has lost her husband , who hasn’t dated in 7 years but one date and she is acting like a character in a Dom Daddy novel. The intimacy didn’t quite fit with the whole book as it’s written. The MMC came off like a DOM type character but only when it came to the intimacy. It was like a whole character change. Once the spice scenes over it goes back to Gilmore Girls type theme. This book is a sweet romance book for those looking for that type of novel. Thank you again for allowing me to read this as an ARC reader.

Another fun beta reading experience from last year! 🫶🏼
I was admittedly not totally sold on this one. It had a cute fall vibe to it, but there was not nearly enough substance to the main characters for my liking; the MMC especially was a bit grating.
However, it’s a feel-good romance with a happy ending, and a decent cosy read too 😊
