SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!!!
An action packed, fast paced, exciting read that will draw you in and hold your attention until the very last word. The characters were intriguing and complex with a few issues to work through. The scenes were so realistic and believable. Vivid detailed descriptions that really brought this read to life before my eyes. With so many twists and turns you never know what direction is up. I really enjoyed this read and highly recommended it. Fantastic job Willis bringing this read together flawlessly. Thanks so much for sharing this little jewel with us.

This was a really in depth story. You are in Hotans mind at least half the time, and if you don't follow along closely you'll forget whether you are in his mind or in actual time. There is a TON of story building, so much so, that the characters at times blurred together and I missed who we were talking/dealing/imagining with and/or about. That said, this is a good start to a series that has superior potential. I think the author needed to get everything into this book so the next ones could move forward, there is just a LOT of information to absorb.

I won this book in a Facebook competition.

I did not finish this book. I didn't even make a quarter of the way through. Confusing is how I'd describe this one.
There are so many topics shoved into each chapter it's hard to make sense of what you're reading and even harder to keep track of what's actually happening.
The chapters have lines in them I'm guessing to try and separate the topics when really I feel that maybe a new chapter should just be started.

This is the begging of a great series if this book is any indicator. I could not believe all of the people that were the same as Hotan was and he had no idea. I think the author has left opening in this first book that she could go so many story lines!! I can't wait to see what happens next while they are all changing and seeing we're this leads.

I've never read a book by this author before, but this won't be my last.

She puts down a great story with Rebirth, part 1 of a trilogy. A story of immortals who walked the earth thousands of years ago. With all their powers they were unable to save man from his own cruelty and their leader Hotan tries to help his fellow immortals by putting them to sleep across the ages. Upon waking up, they will know nothing of their previous life, and each time they will be incarnated again. Until one of the immortal regains his memories and his powers. Now he wants to kill Hotan because he did this to them.

Hotan is 18 years old and attending school. He promised his mother that he would get his degree before she died and that is what he wants. However, all lessons are easy for him, as if he has done this before.
Sleeping is becoming increasingly difficult for him because of the dreams that return every night. Until he is almost killed by a sword. A strange man saves him, Talib, who tells him that he is an immortal with the greatest power, that of rebirth.

A very beautiful fantasy story. Lots of action, friendship, sadness.
I hope a shot at an ARC for the rest of the series.

Told mostly from Hotan's POV this story is great. The world-building is good. Characters have great depth, however, at times it's hard to keep straight who we are reading about at one time (they seem to blur together at times). This is the only fault I had with this book - I don't enjoy having to stop and think - "who is this". Other than that a great action-packed book. And certainly a great start for a series. Can't wait to see more.
