With home in sight, Steven and Jack are forced into a no-win scenario. Meanwhile, a medical emergency threatens Grace's life, and forces Stacey to make a desperate gamble in Book 5 of End of Seasons.
From 4-million-copy bestselling author Mike Kraus comes an explosive new thriller End of Seasons.
In the rugged Colorado Rockies, three generations - grandfather Charlie, father Steven and grandson Jack - are on their yearly camping trip when they receive a mysterious text message from home warning of a strange catastrophe. With communications down and half of the country standing between them and home, every mile becomes a battle for survival and a race to get home before the world is swallowed by the mysterious new threat.
Meanwhile, at their family farm in Virginia, Stacey Winters, her daughter Grace, her mother Caroline, and her sister-in-law Lindsey struggle to prepare for the nightmare sweeping toward them. As society unravels, they must protect their home and somehow fortify against an enemy that cannot be explained, reasoned with or stopped.
With each passing hour, the threat grows farther, faster, and deadlier.
There are no second chances.
There is only survival... or extinction.

Developed by Mike Kraus and written by Mike Kraus and Aiden Cross, End of Seasons is a 6-book thriller series that is guaranteed to leave you sleepless as you turn "just one more page" well into the night.
A prolific author with dozens of series to his name, Kraus arrived on the fiction scene in 2012, with his smash hit FINAL DAWN, which sold a quarter-million copies in its first year. Since then he's authored and co-authored dozens of other series like The End of All Things, Epoch's End, Surviving the Fall, FOLIANT, Zero Hour, MELT and more. Mike's currently sold over 4 million books and counting.
This ended up being an excellent addition to this good series. While parts felt a bit like marking time, there was a lot of other action and I am very interested in the apparent cover-up of the Kansas City bombing. I hope we do see Coop again. And Lindsey and Sarah are so very smart and assertive to save Grace and turn the tide against Jeff. Looking forward to book 6.
Hope Of The Fallen, book 5 in the excellent End Of Seasons series, continues following Lindsay, Caroline, Grace and others facing desperate, and brazen, attacks at home as Steven, Jack and Coop both make interesting observations about the fungus and are required to take drastic action to try to keep his promise to get Steven and Jack home. The writing is simply top notch, like should be expected from anything written by Kraus and or Cross. Its not just the clean writing that makes this series so good, great characters, flawed and likeable, as well as capable of growing as situations demand, very clear and crisp descriptions of events and the fungus and the damage it has already wrought, everything is just done right! Overall, 5/5 well earned stars, highly recommended for fans of apocalyptic survival thrillers and thrillers as a whole! Can't wait for book 6!
The Hope of the Fallen is the fifth book in this series and still has me glued to every page. Things are heating up for Stephen, Jack and Coop as they make their way home. For Stacey, Lindsay, Caroline and Grace they face more threats and violence from an old foe. Very exciting and looking forward to the next one.
Another good read in this exciting end of the world series. I do like the characters so find myself rooting for them in the terrible situations that they find themselves in. A good fun series so far, which I do recommend!
Home is finally in sight but danger is still with them. How will they make it safely home without any mishaps. Full of danger and surprises to keep you intrigued.
