Any discussion of a book like this must be compared to Knoll's book on the same topic. While it is not as comprehensive, I have not found that it is lacking a fruitful discussion in any area.

Nicely written, follows a pedagogical path, gives good overview of the topic assuming the reader has a working knowledge of basic electromagnetic theory
