Book six of The Mindhunters

It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s whether you survive.

Abby Rhodes learned early on that her gift could do more harm than good, so she stifled her psychic abilities for years. But in an unguarded moment, she touches an object connected to the murders of eleven girls and receives a message—one that could help capture a killer. When a twelfth victim goes missing, she must choose whether to trust her gift and risk everything, or stay silent and possibly jeopardize a young girl’s life.

Tech genius and ex-SEAL Andrew “Einstein” MacKenzie doubts the sexy yoga instructor with the soft smile can help find a killer who has eluded authorities for decades, but he’ll do anything to catch a break in this case—until he learns Abby’s methods have no basis in science. He prefers verified data and reliable statistics that fit neatly into his crime-solving algorithms. This woman, both his polar opposite and his perfect match, threatens to upend his carefully controlled world in every way.

Twenty years ago, the Charmer began his deadly game, killing beautiful young women to serve his needs. Now, the agents at SSAM are breathing down his neck. Determined to stay in control, he initiates a plan to destroy the agency—if they don’t find him first. It’s a race against the clock as Einstein and Abby hunt the ruthless serial killer, and the winner will take all.

After her yoga class, Abby finds a charm bracelet that invokes the brutal images of 11 women. Could they be of the past or the future?

It would seem that these images are connected to a killer known as the Charmer—the Boss, the head of the Human Trafficking Crime Syndicate. Apparently, he’s been well-known for SSAM, an elite crime-fighting team that’s been after the Charmer for 20 years, ever since the first killing.

Einstein is a secret agent in SSAM—a mindhunter specializing in high-tech gadgets—has been on the Charmer case for years, working day-in and day-out. His only reprieve is getting to run into the alluring Abby at the coffee shop. At first touch, Abby can’t help but wonder why his touch elicits those same images? Was there a connection?

Now, the two must work together to get the Charmer and stop him from killing another missing girl.

Well-written and gripping!

I really like the book, the characters, the plot... everything. I didn’t give five stars only because I thought the book was ill organized... sometimes you didn’t realize the narrative change perspective from one character to the other... and it made things confusing sometimes...

What started 20 years ago with the death of a child this 6th and final book in the Mindhunters series finally reaches its conclusion. Damien Manchester who created SSAM which is a private security business dedicated to catching serial murderers has always been looking for the man that killed his daughter. Throughout the series we knew that a man was the head of The Circle an international crime ring but turns out he was also the serial killer of 11 girls including Damien’s daughter. This books finally shows us who the killer and the head of the Circle is and why he hates Damien so much.

Its always sad to come to the end of a series you’ve been following for years but from the start of the series you’ve always felt for Damien and wanted him to finally catch the mad man behind his daughter’s death and for him to finally get closure to something that has consumed his life for over 20 years. There have been lots of great couples we’ve met along the way that also play a big part in this book as they should as they too along with current cases have been trying to catch the elusive Charmer right alongside their boss for years also.

I don’t know what’s next for this author in terms of books or series but I look forward to what’s ahead. She has a great mind for suspense and romance.

End Game

What a wonderful way to end the Mindhunter series!!! I can't say enough good things about these books.....Anne Marie brings you in to each book and hooks you and allows you to become a part of it as you read each person's story, even though from the beginning there is always the end game. I hope that she writes more series because they are so addicting!!

This book was a good mixture of mystery, suspense and romance. The characters were amazingly real. Even though I knew how it ended, about halfway through, I still was interested enough to see how it all played out and still had trouble putting it down.

Good book

Lots of action from the very first page to the last. A woman who can read objects or people and a serial killer on the loose for twenty years. Very good.
