I thought this book would give me much greater knowledge and confidence when it came to planning a Great Loop adventure. The key takeaway I got from this book is that most people do the look in a counterclockwise direction (to take advantage of river currents) and that you need to be in or leave NY about May.

Not very useful

No new information that isn’t readily available elsewhere (and for free), occasional political statements that make me wish I hadn’t put any money in the author’s pocket, and poorly written and edited.
