Rate this book
Anania Shirakatsi’s 7th century manuscript Tvabanutiun (Arithmetic) is the world’s oldest preserved manuscript on arithmetic. It contains interesting detailed explanations of the methods he has developed for teaching arithmetic to beginners and to first grade children. Shirakatsi’s methods have been successfully used over centuries in Armenia. Even though times have changed, his methodology continues to be as effective in the contemporary diverse classroom environment as it has been since the 7th century.
