Rockford University #3

Run Me in Circles

Rate this book
TATE:
I’ve been in love with Fletcher Reed since before I could even tell you what being in love meant. He has the kind of heart that attracts anyone and everyone he talks to. He has a contagious laugh and a smile that illuminates every room. Everything about him is perfect-

Except for the fact that he’s my best friend.

I’ve run from the idea of being in love with Fletcher for years, too worried that it would end in loss. But there have been moments that tempted me to finally be honest with him, Like our drunken first kiss, or when his eyes linger a little too long on my lips.

But instead of ever telling him the truth in those moments, I just bury it deeper and deeper. Because as hard as it is for me to pretend I don’t love him—

It would be even harder for me to lose him.

FLETCHER:
I didn’t understand what love was until Tatum Lewis moved in next door. I was only six years old but even then I knew she was going to be an important part of my life. And I was right. From the day we met she made me a better person and she believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I’ve loved her from the moment I saw her. The only problem is

She doesn’t feel the same way about me.

I always hoped maybe one day that would change, that maybe one day she would realize I’ve been right in front of her the whole time. But after she called our first kiss a “silly drunken mistake,” I realized she’d never feel the same way. So, rather than lose my best friend, I pushed my feelings down and tried to move on with my life.

But I never forgot that kiss. And as hard as I tried, no girl ever compared to Tate. People have always said hockey players can get any girl they want, but I don’t want just any girl. I only want her.

I only want Tate.

*I received an early copy of this book in return for my honest review*

Forget everything I said about the previous two books...this one? This one is easily my favorite. I don't know if it's because I am a SUCKER for the friends to lovers trope, but this book left me giggling and kicking my feet. I love Fletcher SO MUCH his character is so likeable. Honestly I loved both him and Tate, together and independently. I also LOVED Becca's character, like she needs her own book asap. I was surprised with the fact that Tate and Fletcher didn't end up together, but honestly I wasn't upset. Their breakup was so beautifully written that I couldn't be mad at it. Also, can we talk about the end?! What. was. that? I can't believe you would make me fall in love with Jeremy in this book just to possibly rip him out from under me. I need book 4...ASAP!

Screaming, crying, giggling, kicking my feet back and forth. Oh my gosh, this book was absolutely gorgeous! The characters are wonderful to fall in love with. Their personalities and little quirks written so well. I had to step back and calm down sometimes because I kept finding myself talking to book whenever one of the characters did something. And the ending? Uh hello?! You can’t just leave me like that 😭✋ gonna need the fourth book asap.

I’m so mad right now!!!! This book leaves you in a cliffhanger!
The 3rd book in the Rockford university series, Tate and fletcher have known each other since they were kids. Growing up next door to each other and becoming best friends falling in love with each other without letting the other know. It’s quite clear to their friends, family, and anyone who’s in a room with them… except for them!

The friends to lovers aspect? Oh. My. God. This book. It’s so so good. The character building, the storyline, just everything. I love hockey romances and this one was absolutely done so well. I 100% recommend. Do yourself a favor and read it!
