This book is a great supplement to any commentaries you may have on the Book of Daniel. If you have never read a book attempting to explain Daniel this is a great one to start with. The author begins with a bang as he explains the changing of the names of Daniel & his 3 friends who were taken captive by the Babylonians (I’m not going to give it here). The author also does a fantastic job explaining the “handwriting on the wall” & it’s meaning. The author also brings out, in thrilling detail the facts of history that reveal the incredible accurateness of the prophetic word given to Daniel. The book is also filled w/practical application of Scripture throughout making this book very profitable for the new believer without overwhelming them with the prophetic elements contained in the book.

Dr. Sevener says on page 89, “Understanding God’s prophetic word is not an intellectual exercise; it is not a ‘spiritual exercise.’ Prophecy is not truth to be contemplated. Rather, understanding God’s prophetic truth should provoke believer’s into action.” And again on page 198, “Detailed prophecy, & its detailed fulfillment, should bring peace to the heart of every believer. If God orders the events of nations in such detail, He can certainly order the events of our lives. With such a wonderful, Sovereign Lord in our lives, why should believers be anxious?”

I highly recommend this book, it will be a great addition to your library.

Excellent book as it is written by a messianic Jew that adds a lot to the Jewish heritage of the book. It is set up on a chapter = chapter with the Biblical book so it is easy to follow and a fairly quick read.
