The fourth book in a fantastic, fast paced, fun mystery that keeps you hooked from the beginning and never lets you go until the fun surprise ending! It is time for the annual pot luck in the quiet town of Gossip, Texas. Charlotte Mission, also known as Charlie and her grandmother are former spies laying low. Charlotte has become a fixer. But when a professional whistler takes a bite of a chocolate mud pie and keels over dead, Charlotte and her really great Grandmother look into the case. But they need to be careful. They can't blow their cover. But can they solve the murder? With so much action and twists and turns you just can't put this book down. I can't wait to see what's next for Charlie and Grandma! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Gamma and her spy equipment always make me smile since I picture her armory as a sorta batcave only way more updated from the 1960s lol. I could tell the situation with Aaron was weighing super heavy on Charlie and she really didn’t like having to leave him, but being compromised was a serious thing for anyone in the agency. At least she and Gamma got the lesser of two things that could happen and now I can’t wait to see where they go in their search for Charlie’s cousin.

Chocolate Mud Murder

This was so cool!! The ending left me in a turmoil. It was just nonstop action. Some things I figured out and some things I didn't. But there were some crazy people in this story. Definitely well written, and I am waiting, impatiently, for the next book.

This is such a good series. It has it all - small town, family, friends, cats, an inn, romance, a little James Bond and murder. There’s a lot of action in this one, going from character to character, and some of them are rather strange. Well written, easy to read. Looking forward to the next one!
