She stayed. With us. With me. For the first time since the plague hit, things almost felt… normal, but now, we’ve lost two of our own, and one of our brothers was taken. He came back from the dead to finish what he started, only this time, I’ll bury him myself, but before I can end him, I have to protect her. Aspen’s the thread holding us together, but in a world like this, the cost of love is blood, and I don’t know how much more she has left to bleed.
THIS IS BOOK 2 OF THE BLOODHAWKS DUET. You will need to read book 1 This book contains mature themes, explicit content, and dark romance elements. It features a reverse harem (why-choose) dynamic, where the heroine doesn’t have to pick just one. Expect morally gray heroes, intense situations, and a world where love and survival are equally ruthless. Reader discretion is advised.
After the chlifhanger from Ravaged Saints I was soo excited for this one and Joan DELIVERED OMG!!! This book had me hooked from beginning to end. All of my emotions came around, I laughed, I cryed, I chew my fingernails off…. This book was soo soo good!
"Revenge Saints: BloodHawks Duet 2" continues the harrowing journey of a band of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by plague and conflict.
This sequel expertly builds upon its predecessor, deepening the emotional stakes while introducing fresh twists that kept me glued to my kindle until it was done.
You need to read book one before jumping into this one.
Joan Morven brilliantly crafts a story with tension and complexity. The loss of two characters strikes a poignant chord 😢
Knox emerges as a quintessential hero, embodying a blend of strength and vulnerability. His willingness to sacrifice for those he loves was just a joy to read, (yes he’s still an a$$, but a loveable one 😜)
Aspen’s evolution is a highlight, as she finally claims her place within the group, shining as the glue that binds them together. Her character growth is not just inspiring, it’s a testament to resilience amid chaos. The chemistry between her and Knox, infused with "spice," elevates the story, offering moments of tenderness against the backdrop of brutality.
The supporting cast, including the stalwart Dante, open hearted Max, and the steadfast Ryker, enrich the story with their distinct personalities. Each character is well developed, showcasing unique qualities that contribute to the cohesive dynamics of the group. The themes of love, loyalty, and sacrifice resonate throughout the story, propelling the plot forward and deepening my emotional investment. (Buckets of tears were shed, happy and sad ones)
The writing is gripping and vivid, we witness the intensity of the characters' struggles while providing descriptions that draw you into the world. The pacing is well executed, balancing action with quieter moments, and the plot twists are cleverly woven into the story, ensuring I stayed up well past my bedtime to read the damn book 🥱
In conclusion, "Revenge Saints" is a thrilling continuation of a captivating duet.
It’s a tale of love intertwined with sacrifice, of friendships forged in the fire of despair, and of the relentless fight for survival.
Fans of post-apocalyptic fiction and strong character driven stories will find much to cherish in this gripping conclusion.
And who knows, maybe we will come back and see what this “family” are up to 😉🤞
I don’t even where to start. How to even put into words how I feel, all that keeps coming is “wowwwww”. Second instalment of Bloodhawks, and revenge is at the front of their minds, running through their veins and seeping out their blood. Trained soldiers, their training and skills come out in full force when one of their own is taken, along with their base by the one man that betrayed them. Not knowing how badly Dante is hurt or if he is still breathing, all they know is they need to get to safety, plan and get to him before it’s too late, not knowing what they will be walking into. Blood is spilled, body broken in the path towards their goal. The only person keeping them together is the one that can be the used to break them all, Aspen. Their first step, save Dante, then take out the group and leader that took him, and take back their base. I swallowed this up just as fast as they spilled blood. I couldn’t put it down, I was hooked from the first page. The way they move as a team without speaking a word, knowing where they needed to be, what moves to make, so breathtaking. And seeing them move in action, doing what they were trained to do, wow, I needed to fan myself, totally hot, I can see how Aspen is madly in love with each of them. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it all to unfold. There is so much I can, but I don’t want to spoil it for people. Now excuse me while I go take an extra cold shower.
I couldn't wait to jump into this second book after the cliffhanger ending of book one! I suggest that you read the first book prior to diving into this one, or you will be lost.
I adore a good post-apocalyptic book, and this duet did not disappoint! The spice was spicing, and I adore the FMC of Aspen.
Aspen makes so many changes throughout this journey. She goes from being rigid and not trusting of anyone, especially men, to learning how to love and opening up.
I really liked all four of the guys and would have a really hard time choosing a favorite. They all have a special love for Aspen, and she loves each of them in her own unique way.
We do get a HEA, and I am so thankful for that, but the book is left a little open-ended to where if the author chose to, we could possibly see more of these characters in the future...we can only hope!
First of all thank you Joan for sending me this arc.
I cannot express how good this books is. The dynamic among the group gets defined so much better, our girl Aspen finally takes her rightful place in the team.
The spice is spicing. The twists keep coming.
Knox - the man you are. Willing to sacrifice yourself to protect everyone you love. Dante - strong and resilient, willing to sacrifice in order to give someone a change at a better life Max - learning to love and trust and open up, willing to accept being who you are Ryker - the glue that keeps everyone together
I cried, I laughed and I smiled through this entire book.
What a second half to the duet, it was absolutely fabulous. I love Joan's writing always finds her books easy to devour.
It picks up straight after the first book. With the base lost, Dante captured, the bloodhawks find Aspen and find somewhere to hide out to form a plan to get Dante and their home back.
I still loved all the characters, and trying to work through everything going on. But one of the best characters had to be Bryn, showing her true unhinged character, and delusional aspirations. She was just the perfect villainess.
The plot is good and with the bloodhawks being soldiers they are, made such an entertaining read. Oh and we cant forget the spice, totally on point. This was good easy spicy fast paced read, loved it.
Omg omg omg!!!! I’ve been waiting for this book since I read the first one and it did not disappoint!! It’s packed full of action , twists and a fantastic plot Post apocalyptic Why choose ( 1 FMC 4 MMC’s) Swords crossing Reverse harem Love Family Gripping story that gave me palpitations The spice was perfectly balanced with the plot You do need to read book one first (ravaged saints) It was amazing to have the bloodhawks back FMC is feisty and such a badass A story of survival , grit and strength These characters took you on their journey with them they had so much depth and I was fully connected with the characters and the story Brilliantly written ❤️
I NEEDED this book after finishing Ravaged Saints and that freaking cliffhanger. Holy hell. Revenge Saints picks up right where book 1 left off and I freaking devoured it. We have a dystopian, post-apocalyptic why choose MMFMM and a story that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
Aspen- the FMC is strong, feisty and the glue that holds the harem together. Watching all of the characters grow and develop in their relationships was perfection
It is action packed and fast-paced. There is a ton of spice but I feel like it was perfectly balanced with the plot.
What an ending to this duet! The author did an amazing job with this book and the duet as a whole. This book picked up right after the cliffhanger of book 1, and it was a twist filled rollercoaster to the end. I’ve loved these characters since the first book, and seeing them grow like they did in this story was so good. I love that the ending was left a little bit open, so I feel like there is the possibility of future stories involving these characters. But she did a fantastic job giving us the ending I think we all wanted to see for Aspen and the BloodHawks.
I enjoyed the theme of this duet. Apocalyptic love is so endearing. I didn’t enjoy the villain povs nearly as much but it did help prolong the tension. I’d rate this honestly as a three point five over all with the writing and the plot. The spice was definitely a four maybe even a four point five star but the writing was more of a three with the plot a three and a half. It’s definitely a rec I’d make for someone wanting a quick read with a story that will keep you engaged.
This is book 2, and let me tell you I'd love to read another duet like this one. This book reminds me of an end of the world soap opera. Just when you think more drama can't happen, it does. Aspen, Knox, Dante, Max, and Ryker find themselves in the middle of a complete takeover in many ways it was expected, but the twist they don't see coming is emotional. Can the trust they have built last, or will it be tore apart from the seams?
The end has come …. I loved these characters. They will live rent free in my head for a long time. This is the second on the duet and takes us through the guys and aspen figuring out a way to save Dante.
We are taken through trials, deal with old characters and find love. This was a great closing chapter to the story and I loved it!
The Bloodhawks men are back and ready to take back what's theirs. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There is suspense, betrayal, some wholesome moments and definitely some spice.
I really enjoyed this book it was a little bit of everything. I highly recommend you read it but **please check your triggers **
Really enjoyed the 2nd book in this duet. I loved how we saw the characters recovery process from the events in the first and thoroughly enjoyed the way it was wrapped up. The smut continued to keep on shutting! I only wish we'd seen a mmfm scene so all were engaged at the same time but then im greedy 🤣. But loved it and highly recommend this duet!
I don't know why, unlike the first book tis one felt a little bit underwhelming and kind of rushed at the end. Still enjoyed it though, just not as much as the first
I am a massive fan of this Duet, by far one of my favourites & not just from this year. I adore Joan’s writing style. The way she develops the plot, pulls you in & hits you with twists & turns. Not to mention the toe curling spice that’s hotter than the UK’s current heatwave (& trust me, that’s saying A LOT!). If I could give it more than 5⭐️’s, I would!
The aftermath at the ending of 𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒 sets the scene for the beginning this book. We follow the BloodHawks as they try to regain what they’ve lost in a world that’s gone to hell in a hand basket, years after The Crimson Plague wiped out 80% of the world’s population.
I devoured the book & was on the edge of my seat the whole time because I just had to know what happened but equally, I didn’t want it to end. This is a Duet that will definitely be reread time & time again. I highly recommend you give this a go & I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!!
This was the perfect sequel in the BloodHawks Duet!
This story follows Aspen and her four guys: Ryker, Knox, Max, Dante as they work forward to recover their home and move forward after the betrayals from book one. The character development from all the characters in this one, especially Knox, really shone in this book. The relationship between Aspen and all the guys really moved to a new level, and I was very happy with the way this duet ended.
Joan Morven writes beautifully, and I look forward to whatever she comes up with next!
