This story follows Mister St. James aka Aiden and his bold assistant Cat. Their tension is through the roof from page one, but ratchets even higher when they find out they’re both part of a very exclusive club. Watching them navigate their growing feelings while also juggling the consequences at their job was a tad stressful at times, but ultimately so rewarding. It was interesting seeing into the mind of someone who is normally so methodical and reserved, while he also grapples to maintain control while experiencing things he never has before. I would have loved a little more expansion on their back stories and for the main conflict to have been drawn out a bit more. Other than that, this was a very spicy and satisfying read.

A story of precision and calculation. Two people with one dark secret. No names, just experiences. The Velvet Stag is a place to come be yourself behind a mask with no inhibitions. Cat and Aiden have something in common that neither is aware of till Aiden spies a single obsidian token in Cat’s purse. What starts as a dark obsession, transforms to a calculated risk. When their cover is used against them, they rally and do what they do best. From boardrooms to voyeur rooms, these two assess all the risks and rewarded in a way that their doing just works.

Aidan and Catalina. What can I say? Hot. Simply put.

Mr. St. James - typical CEO. Catalina - Executive Assistant who likes to push Aidan. Neither not knowing what their desires and wants were outside of the office...until that night.

Do they risk everything for those desires? For those wants? Is it worth it?

This book is hot! These two have amazing chemistry and the plot is thorough and consistent.

I’ll be honest is there a lot of plot to this story…not really…am I mad about it? Absolutely not. This was exactly what I needed in this moment. Just something hot and steamy and a very real vibe. Boss/employee vibes and I really enjoyed it!

This book was amazing! Just when I thought I knew where it was going it changed and hooked me again!
