The book “CDiC Textbook of Pediatric Diabetes” focuses on diagnosis and management of childhood diabetes. Type 1 diabetes mellitus is one of the most common endocrine and metabolic conditions in childhood. India has a huge burden of approximately 69.2 million people with diabetes. In an attempt to address the critical gap in the management of children with T1DM in India, Novo Nordisk A/S, through the Novo Nordisk Education Foundation, in collaboration with the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes has launched Changing Diabetes in Children (CDiC) program. The CDiC program focuses on six needed elements, which includes “infrastructure and equipment, insulin and supplies, capacity building and raising awareness, patient education, advocacy and sharing learning, and the outcomes”. This volume is divided into eight sections, which includes 30 chapters. It is essential for the students to learn CDiC very well in order to build up their knowledge for diabetes care. This book is prepared with simple language, which is helpful for readers.
