Khushi, a vibrant 21 year old was the sunshine of her bade papa and buaji’s existence. Add to it a close set of friends and love for arts and her life was complete. She was beautiful inside out, with her doe-like olive green eyes mature beyond their years. Her life was not perfect but she was not the one to complain for she lived it to the fullest. She made the best out of the situations and believed in moving on. Her smiles and chitter chatter were the life of Raizada Mansion. Everyone loved her dearly.
Everyone, but Avish Singh Raizada. He arrived in her world claiming his stake on two things that Khushi held very dear to her heart. Her home and her bade papa’s love. Sharing was an alien concept to that cynical arrogant man, who was unhappy with pretty much everything around him. And unfortunately Khushi became one more reason of his displeasure. Forgetting her own sadness, she tried to be reasonable and friendly towards him but he refused to warm up to her. So like any other intelligent being she decided to pretend that he does not exist and went on with her life.
It worked, but not for long. The people and the ties binding them were very important, very strong, whether they liked it or not. Their lives touched each other’s on daily basis. So overtime, living under the same roof, sharing the same family forced them into an understanding, a friendship of the sorts.
But like it happened with other people, Avish too found his life revolving around Khushi one fine day. She was not someone you can resent for long and he had understood that slowly. They way she saw his pain through the facade of anger broke his resolve to stay away from her. Her heart warming smiles that he had started discreetly capturing in his camera, thawed his frozen heart bit by bit. But his silent admiration and complex nature did not help the matter. To add to his woes, Khushi was obliviously happy in her own world, where Arnav was her friend, just a friend. She sincerely believed in love, but for others not herself. He had always mocked the idea of love, but it was his only salvation now. Second chances are rare in life but he got one, and thus began his quest to bridge the distances between himself and her, distances created by the society, distances created by the age difference, but most importantly distances created by themselves. To make her his for eternity, only his.
A graphic designer by profession, a shy dreamer by nature and a passionate reader, Anamika GK dealt with her pre-midlife crises (yup, still quite some time in that milestone) by resorting to writing. Turns out, she has a decent flair for the craft. Most of her work can be found on her blog called FictionPur (http://fictionpur.wordpress.com/allst...). Her stories have strong flavors of romance, social issues and philosophy.
I'm convinced I'll never grow out of my MKM addiction. What a beautiful story! Reading about Sadu Singh Raizada and his Laddoo wife for the 50th time and still not getting bored 🥰
This is one of my favorite story . i must say the writer has poured every feeling in a great way. Every character is so vivid. you will be mesmerized to read how she takes you to a ride of emotions. Avish- the main male character is just portrayed excellently . every thing he did is justified with the time specially the way he is and i must appreciate the writer has did great job in writing his character as as live as you can imagine. Khushi- the main female lead in this story will show you every sign you see of an teenage , from naivety to understanding , from simple to irresistible, from immature to mature , from bubbly to serious in needed time. this story is just a great fiction , all about love and its shaping with time , how a relationship is build with time. how one person's thought change for various things with time. you will be in love with these characters and specially with the story by the time you just start reading some parts of it. i will rate this as five star. i hope it had more than i culd add all stars to this amazingly amazing romantic fiction written by my favorite author Anamika. great job. gal.
One of the best romantic novels I read as FF. But I m loving this new attire more. Life is not a bed of roses...There's will ups and downs...But one can live happily if he/she encounters 'soul-mate'. A normal fighting or romantic moments with the soul-mate, can make ones to spend a significantly heavenly blissful life. Author beautifully captured such moments in temperamental Avish and charming Khushi's lives... Loved it
Fanfiction writers who want to publish their work should really consider getting an editor! This book was unnecessarily lengthy.
I understand that a lot of effort goes into writing Fanfiction (I enjoy reading them too!) however when a reader is looking for fanfiction he/she is looking for an extension of the characters or world they can't get enough of and when they are looking for an original work their expectations definitely change. This book fails miserably in that aspect.
Avish is a terrible protagonist (so is Khushi to an extent) what he needs is therapy which he doesn't seek because guess what love is apparently the answer to everything! Avish's possessiveness is neither endearing nor funny in fact it is downright scary and creepy at times. He manipulates and gaslights Khushi according to his whims and is extremely controlling.
I just couldn't bring myself to root for them to be together, the show that this book is based on had its share of toxic moments but Avish's thoughts here just made me suffocate.
This book's part 1 which remains a FF was much better, at least it was easy to understand and empathise with the main characters there.
I read this story when it was written chapter by chapter.. Ahh the anticipation of what's going to happen next had me sometimes thinking.. Now reading this beautiful story as a book, just makes me happy because now I can read it whenever I want. Already read it, and soon will read it again. Excellent story, it is heart warming. Love love love it!!!
Such a beautiful story. Read it when it was posted on India forums chapter by chapter. Beautiful writing style. The author is a gem. A full five stars for her and her story.
I am generally not a big fan of romantic genre but this had me hooked. Its a very simple story about 2 individuals who are pole opposites in nature but still somehow find there way to each other. Isnt it that what every wants.happyly ever after. For avish and Khushi it doesnt come very easily though and the book showcases their struggle through social stigma, inbuilt insecurities and some very foolhardy actions of their own
Anamika i started reading MKM 1 on india forum and then couldnt stop till i read this one too. Very nicely written
A beautifully written love story. The characters are so real and deep that you can't help but feel them. The emotional vortex presented at the crux of the book tugs your heart. I loved the characters and how they evolve through their highs and lows. Highly recommend for romance addicts. Have read Anamika's works before, she truly delivers each time.
My first ever book by an Indian author. It was nice, did not really understand the ending though, don't know if there is going to be a later instalment .
Is this story by anyway is related to the indian drama ‘Is pyaar ko kya naam doon’ which used to air on Star Plus in 2011. The names, the characters all seem to be exactly same!
This book is a journey of a complicated n complex man Avish, who thinks he is standing against the whole world all alone and has only hatred, distrust against almost everyone , but inside him lies a scared and insecure child who craves for nothing but true love. And the beautiful, charming khushi who is loved by all n does not even know the meaning of hate. She has her own complications in life but she is an optimist whereas Avish is a thorough pessimist.
Life n situations make them come together n thus starts their journey of love(Complex love) which keeps you on the edge of the seat. To find out what happens in their complex relationship n how they get along inspite of being two very different individuals, you need to read this awesome book.
I got an opportunity to be part of the journey of this book and its characters from the beginning and I would like to thank anamika for the same.
It might have names and a few scenes from "is pyar ko kiya name do" but this book is so different from the show. Very well written. if you are a sucker for indian romance, you will love it for sure. Was a little disappoint with the epilogue though. Would have preferred a shorter leap. Over all i only slept 45 min one night to finish this book that is how much I loved it.

I love Arnav and Khushi fics so when I stumbled upon the fanfiction then found out the only way to continue this story was to buy it...let’s just say it was one of the fastest transactions I’ve ever made.
Spoiler alert! The only one thing I wish this book offered was more of Arnav or Avish opening up to Khushi personally about his past. More of his character development.
But still now officially one of my favorites stories out there.
I have read this story when it was updated in India Forums. I must say that it is one of the best stories that I have read in my lifetime. A super duper story. Anamika is a very versatile writer. All her stories are worth reading n number of times.
Ah..... Read this absolutely beautiful story once again and quenched my arnav-khushi thirst after a long time! Anony you are a wonderful writer to have written a story that would give us pleasure of our beloved show as well as stand strong as an individual novel. Well done!!
A broken heart enigma to every bit, A joyous soul overflowing with nothing but emotions is stunned by the intervention of fate. Hypnotised and interwined struggling to be together or part away, a story of love and trust and a treasure of zeal and warmth for readers.
This is one of the most beautiful romance books. It's an emotional roller coaster ride and all the characters are so real that you can actually relate to them and feel what they are feeling.
First book by the author and also the first one I read. I found the story very interesting and I found the book very enjoyable. I will certainly buy her next book.
