This book is a good overview of what to expect when preparing for and building a new library. It is written by an architect who served on a library's governing body for eighteen years. It's written for an independently governed library, as opposed to a municipal library but still has very relevant information for city librarians.

Well, it's not a thrill-a-minute book but I guess it's ok so far... ;)

Good book for any director/staff member going through a library renovation or new construction project.
