Web Based Enterprise Energy and Building Automation Systems

Rate this book
Barney Capehart (industrial and systems engineering, emeritus, University of Florida) and Lynne Capehart, an energy efficiency consultant, provide practical assistance to energy managers and facility managers who are responsible for automation systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. The book concentrates on facilities in which the highest level functions of the building automation system are provided by a web based EIS/ECS system that provides energy management, maintenance management, and overall facility operational management, and which ties in with the enterprise resource management system for the entire facility or the group of facilities being managed. The majority of chapters in the book are either case studies or applications related to actual facilities, including several on Disney World. There are also introductory chapters reviewing concepts of building automation and intelligent buildings, and chapters on hardware and software tools and systems for data input, data processing, and display. The book is distributed in the US by Taylor & Francis. It is also published by CRC Press under 0849382351. Annotation ©2007 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
