WHAT DID I JUST READ?!

Just when I thought I understood where things might be going, it all gets turned over during the last few chapters!

There is a lot going on in this story, I've got to say that I am hugely impressed by how much work was put into this story

Raven and Asher are still determined to find Lark and to know what happened to her. But the more they uncover, the more creepier it becomes. There are too many secrets out there. So many clues to decipher, and each time where are close to finding out an answer, something big happens and where back to square one.

But, the more invested Raven becomes in finding out the truth, the more she realises that the people closest to her are not who she thinks they are. They're hiding secrets right under her nose!
It seems that Raven has caught herself into a huge tangle of webs with some people. People that could cause her harm.

Loved this story, definitely better than the first. But we are given some interesting information at the very end and it just ends with a cliffhanger! But I, loving the mystery of it all!
I don't know how it will all end! It seems like the next book will be full of revelations but I can't see how it will end!
Argh I'm so excited for This!

Received a copy from the author herself in exchange for an honest review, thank you!

I received a copy of Platinum Prey for an honest review, thank you Sophie Davis!

This book, like with Fragile Facade, switches each chapter between Lark and Raven and I like that the books are written this way.

I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to give away anything you just have to read it and find out for yourself!

The reason I have given this book 3 stars, well I actually would like to give it three and a half stars, is because this book is a bit slow moving and I love to read books that are fast paced and I’m still finding it hard to gain a connection with the character Lark as I did with the first book, Fragile Facade, but her character is opening up and revealing more about her life, friends and secrets in this book which I’m really liking. This book picked up pace at the start, slowed down around the middle and then the rest of the book picked up a lot and it has added a thousand more questions that I want answered!

The start of this book the character Raven asked herself a lot “why me?” I felt she was getting a bit whiny and she was starting to annoy me a little but she made up for that by covering a lot of ground with figuring out more of Larks clues and seems to be getting really close to some solid answers.

I love the story line I just wish this book was little faster paced, it’s a good read and I cannot wait to read the last installment!

I received this book to give an honest review.

Okay now I will say this now please make sure you have read book one before you start this one, and if it has been a hot minute on reading the first one you may want to read it again. Unless you have a super great memory and remember everything in book one. The reason I say this is because I remember a little bit about book one it has been 2 years since I read the first book so I jumped into this one and at first I was a bit lost as to what was going on. I couldn't truly remember why Raven was a mission to the answers to what happened to Lark or why I thought Asher was shady.

Though as time went on it all started clicking and I have to say I was really enjoying the whole mystery of Lark going missing. We go back and forth between Lark's point of view and Raven's. We finally learn what is bothering Lark with her father's company and I have to give Lark props on how she handled it. Asher became even more shady and he really showed his colors towards the end. Now we a scene with some mystery man and Asher which throws in another mystery person. I wonder who this mystery man is as he was not given a name and what is his role in it all. Raven doesn't seem to be too close to finding Lark but she will find her boyfriend the one that she kept secret from her lavish world.

I can not wait to read book three when it comes out because I want to see what happened Lark, will Raven figure out all the clues. There is so much mystery within this story that you just can't help enjoying it. I think all the answers we need will come together in book three it will be just a waiting game until it comes out. This book is good for the teens and young adult's as there is nothing graphic in any form.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. Just. Wow. I can’t even explain how much I enjoyed this book! It doesn’t really fit into a genre that I typically read, but after reading the first book in this series, I had no choice but to read this one. The characters were so realistic that I really became invested in the outcome of their story. Speaking of their story… What a unique concept! I can honestly say I have never read anything like this before and I love it!

One of the things that I enjoyed about this book was that some of the characters from the first one reappeared here but in more detail. I liked learning more about Adam in particular and I look forward to seeing how he ultimately ends up fitting into the main storyline! =)

The best part about Platinum Prey (and the Blind Barriers Trilogy as a whole, so far) is that it keeps you guessing. Every time I think I have something or someone figured out, I’m proven wrong. It makes me stress about how long I’m going to have to find out the truth!

I absolutely can’t wait for the third book in this series to come out!

Raven Ferragamo continues her search for missing heiress, Lark Kingsley. This has been her obsession since she found the missing woman's journal. Why did Lark want Raven to follow the hidden clues and find her? Luck that Raven has help from her downstairs neighbor, Asher. He's been with her every step of the way. Does he have an ulterior motive? The more we learn about Lark and her life, the more the mystery deepens. Who wanted her gone and why? Sophie Davis has ramped up the tension and the suspense. Raven is smart and diligent. She keeps moving forward with her investigation. I like her. She tough. Originally I liked Asher but now I don't trust him. Who is he really? This trilogy has me hooked. I need answers and soon. Platinum Prey is addictive. The setting, the clues and the treachery kept me reading. The plot moves swiftly and the twists just keep coming. We won't get the answers we need until Book three. So be aware that their is no closure, but I think seeing how it'll end will be worth the wait.

Love, love, love. I had a theory at the end of Fragile Facades, and as I got into this sequel I was only more convinced that my theory was correct - until the last page, when I learned that, in fact, although one portion of my theory can still be correct, the entire theory as a whole is NOT. Although now I have a new theory....and isn't that the fun of mysteries/thrillers? If the author can successfully keep the reader guessing until the very end of the series? At this point, I am dying for the final book in the series, and am very glad that it won't be longer than a trilogy - because the months I will have to wait will be long enough already, thankyouverymuch! Well done, intriguing, and captivating.

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Which is that it rocks.

I received a copy for an honest review, and I honestly must say.... I HONESTLY LOVED IT!!!!

Fragile Facade left me wanting more and a lot of unanswered questions that I could not wait to resolve. The second in the Blind Barriers, Platinum Prey continues the mystery but we slowly start to learn some of the answers. I could not stop reading! The characters of Lark and Raven develop in unexpected ways. A real page turner! The only negative comment I can include is how frustrated I am having to wait for the next one!!! Ugh!

Sophie Davis is a very creative writer and I am looking forward to reading her other series!

Sophie Davis did it again! I loved this book, the story is intriguing and pulled me in so I just kept reading and reading - I tried to slow down when I realized how close to the end I was, but could not stop! The sudden ending leaves the reader begging for more and I hope the third will be released very soon! I read a lot of mystery/intrigue story and am usually pretty good at figuring out all the clues before the author revel - but not with this book I'm right there with Raven wondering "what is going on and who has Lark?"

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I honestly wasn't sure if this series would be able to compare to the Talented Saga when I read the first book. It was an enjoyable read with plenty of mystery and suspense, but I didn't quite feel an attachment to the characters the way I did with the characters from the Talented Saga.
However, this book finally managed to pull me in and I just can't wait for the last book. The suspense is killing me and I am definitely left wanting more. Sophie Davis has made me a fan of yet another great series!

I could NOT wait to read this book. The first book left me wanting more ASAP and this book was more of the same twists and turns and of course ended in a cliff hanger. UGH!! There are so many unanswered questions by the end of the book and I can't wait to get my hands on the last book in the series to put all of the pieces together. I loved the Talented series, but this serious is quickly becoming a favorite. I can't wait to read more from Sophie Davis!!

As I finished the last page the first thought that came to my mind was, "No! Don't end here!" That's how engrossed I was when reading Platinum Prey. I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers but I can understand why Sophie ended the book this way. It kinda/sorta answers some questions that had been nagging at the back of my mind so I was happy in that aspect but a huge part of me feels that it only led to even more questions...I can't catch a break! :)
Although I loved the book, there were still some parts of the character development that I struggled with. For example, I understand that Raven is thrown into this situation without even knowing why but I feel like she isn't developing, she still relies heavily on Asher, constantly questions her ideas/thoughts and is still too trusting. In this second book, I was hoping she would grow a backbone, be more independent and believe in herself. There's a reason why Lark chose her to help, she felt confident enough to trust Raven with her secrets and I struggle to find a personality trait in Raven that would help support this, even just a little bit.
Even though I have that minor hangup on Raven, the plot development was fantastic! I felt like I couldn't read fast enough because I was trying to figure out how the pieces connect, I wanted answers! I think that's what makes this such a great book. I forced myself to actually pay attention to the details when typically I'd skim over them because I was afraid to miss some clue that would answer one of the many questions I have. I cannot wait for the third book!

What is happening?!

First off I gave it this rating because ugh! It gave you more answers. Great right?! Wrong!!! You are left with a thousand more questions then answers and I’m left with a headache because I’m so confused as to what’s happening! This book is fantastic. I’m scrambling to read through this fast because I want to know what is going on! Is this “ new “ character Lila really real?! The people raven thought she could trust turns it to not be trustworthy! Ugh! I need answers! I NEEEEEED the third book! I hope it’s the final because I don’t know how much ore fun anxiety I can take! This is like sudoko. You feel like your figuring it out. When you get done with it it’s all a mess if you haven’t figured it out right!

So, this book was so much better than the first, jumping right into the action. I finally got some of the answers I was certain would be at least hinted at book 1 but weren't. I see relationships complicating and progressing, but I feel like there is still something about our characters that we don't get. This may be purposeful for suspense. My only complaint was that for a book with such a good plot, so many reviews, and a great cover, there were blaring typos and mistakes throughout that were not there in book 1. These are the kind instantly caught by an reader. The author or her editor should consider another look at this to polish it. Can't wait to get a hold of book 3 and find out where the twists lead me though!

OMG! This continuation of the series was full of twists! I’m left having no idea where this story is going. I don’t know who to trust as a character anymore and what to believe. I would give anything to get my hands on the next book!

As always Sophie Davis left me craving for more because I have a nasty addiction to her writing. The deceit in this book is astounding and I can’t wait to see what on earth is going to happen next. The one thing I’m certain of is that I’m in love with Blake. :-)

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could! I should also note that this again ends on a cliffhanger but at least it is an amazing one!

I received a copy and volunteered to review it.

I enjoyed this book MUCH better than the first of this series. I was hooked from the beginning trying to figure out what each clue meant and why certain characters are acting the way that they are. A warning that there is no huge revelation in this book, but I have several theories on what on earth is going on. The story does end with an annoying cliff hanger that I will have to wait until March to figure out hopefully some juicy details. Overall, a fast moving book that I enjoyed very much.

It's finally here! And it did not disappoint! It's a mystery within a mystery and the twists just keep coming! Delve even deeper into the lives of Raven and Lark as they continue to uncover the secrets of the Kingsley family. And peek a bit closer at who the men in their lives really are. What is Asher really up to? And Blake? Perfect Blake? What's he got up his sleeve? There's only one way to find out... :)

This book kept me guessing worse than the first one! The double life continues with Raven in the present, but Lark comes to the present too. It did get a little confusing at first until I put two and two together in my head. But I can't wait to continue the journey with Raven almost all but living Lark's life. This book is a must read for anyone who needs a page turner that won't let you sleep. I love it. Can't wait until book three.

Very Un-putdownable

This is one of the best stories I've read. I appreciate that the author kept it clean of too much profanity and sexual content.

The characters in this series are deep and complicated. Well, Lark and Raven are. Raven is a great heroine. She's brilliant.

In this story, Raven and Asher continue pursuing clues to the whereabouts of Lark Kingsbury. She ends up finding Blake.

Book 2 - written in alternating characters points of view makes reading this a tad confusing. I still don't feel like I really know these characters. There are way more many questions than answers at this point. Overall I like the story so I am sticking with 4 stars. I feel like book 3 will bring this whole trilogy together and it will make books 1 & 2 make more sense in the end.

Ohh the and rabbit-hole continues!!
The narrator has such a way of pulling you into the storyline. Following both Raven and Asher into the mystery is so good. The little clues here and there as well as following Lark’s story as well is very intriguing. So many plot twists happening!! Have book 3 cued up and ready to listen because you will want to hear what happens next!

This book, picking up right where the first left off, spins an even bigger web of mystery and intrigue. Just when I thought I might have a theory, something happens that makes me question that theory, and I’m completely sucked in. Book 3 has gotta be a doozy, and I for one can’t wait to dive in!
