This book encourages me to do what I am afraid to do before. One thing I got from this book is when we want to reach something, everything seems so magical and it seems like the universe leads you to reach that thing.

OK, maybe not the best writer ever, but this book made me think. About where I am and what I am doing with my life. I picked it for book club because I thought, with it being January, it is a time when everyone kind of re-thinks and renews. I hope that others feel the same way and can take something from it. It is one of those books that I think about a lot.

I bought this book from The Hunger Site when it came out. It’s a wonderfully written, engaging story that I’ve read multiple times. It always brings a new perspective.

Part fiction and part self-help. I think it might have been self-published. The writing isn't great, but the message is motivational if not entirely clear. I mean that it makes you want to re-examine your life and find your true purpose, but is not really clear on how one would do this without the help of a evanescent magician.

I am still thinking about this one. I gave it three stars mostly because if the writing, which was somewhat poor. I liked some of the ideas in the book, but had a little bit of a hard time with the magician thing...should be a great discussion for book club :)

This was Jan.'s book club book. I liked some of the pearls of wisdom in it; particularly Happy Papa's saying, "You can be anything you want...except unhappy." Mostly I liked the story as well. But I hated the ending. Too unbelievable.
