Cottage Grove #1

More Than a Memory

Rate this book
Disappearing without a word, Eden Richardt fled from her naïve former life in Oregon to start anew in the Midwest. Being a morning radio show host, she’s got a lot going for her except finding someone to share her life with. In that aspect, no one seemed to compare to the one. Having absolutely no desire to step foot back in her hometown of Cottage Grove, her decision was swayed with an invitation to her high school reunion and solidified after receiving a letter from her first and only love from her past.

Living his life the best way he knows how, Baylor Jenkins spends his time running the family plumbing business, after giving up his dream to be an Architect, and raising his almost teenage daughter solely without the help of his ex-wife. In the back of his mind he knows something was missing from his otherwise enjoyable life. But that something was actually a someone who disappeared after graduation; a former best friend turned lover.

Locking eyes after fifteen long years raises deep emotions and unanswered questions:

What happened to make Eden run?

Could their love for each other still exist?

Or will their past time together be nothing more than a memory?

This book is about forgiveness and second chances. Doing what you think is right and fighting for what you love.

They secretly love each other since they were in high school. They wanted to tell each other their feelings but something happened and then Eden disappeared.

Being one of the boys, Eden never thought that Baylor would look at her the way she looks at him. Especially with Kristina around doing her best to keep them apart.

Fifteen years, 1 divorce and 1 daughter later, they're invited to their high school batch fifteen year reunion. They both want to come, but afraid of what to do when they finally see each other after all these years away.

They both wanted answers, but afraid to ask the question. I WANTED ANSWERS TOO!!!

There it was, the blow that I had been anticipating since arriving here and now that the elephant in the room had finally been addressed, my wall that I had strongly built was obliterated into a pile of useless bricks.

They lack communication. They express what they feel but they never say it. Therefore confusing each other's minds and feelings.

"It's too late for my heart. I just hope that when I get home you'll help me restore the pieces."

The author is true to the character's emotions, impulsive decisions, and one's regrets.

It breaks my heart knowing that they will go on with their normal lives after that one week of happiness in each other's arms. It is rare in this world to love someone since the you were kids. Growing up together, being there for each other is exquisite. I always wanted to have a best friend like Baylor and Dean. Eden is so lucky to have them both.

"You, Eden, are meant to be more than a memory and I want you as my reality for the rest of my life. I love you, Eden, and I'm here to bring you back to where you belong, back to Oregon with Norah and me. That is, if you'll have us."

I am thankful to Norah, for giving Eden that letter. Maybe she is craving for a mother figure and seeing that her father still loves Eden, that she took the matter in her own hands. Children are really a blessing in disguise.

I want to read more of Amber Nation's books. This is amazing! NEXT BOOK PLEASE?! :)

Three best friends, Eden, Baylor and Dean, growing up together in a small town in Oregon. Eden and Baylor began developing feelings for one another after entering high school, Dean is their only confidant, until ....Kristina Eden’s personal bully sabotaged their budding relationship.

Baylor Jenkins fell in love in high school. The only problem was that he wouldn't admit his feelings for her, his best friend. The night of graduation, he finally kisses her and they arrange to meet the next day but it doesn’t go as planned.

Eden Richardt, left her hometown the day after graduation and never looked back.
They shared their first kiss after graduation and the next morning, eager to see him and give him a gift, she’s confronted at the door by his ex-girlfriend who claims to be pregnant. She left never looking back, severing all ties with Dean and Baylor. She went to college, became a successful radio personality as a morning show radio host/DJ with her friend of ten glorious years, Blaine in Nashville.

When Eden arrives back in town, the next day she’s at the airport to collect her luggage, initially she’s greeted with chagrin by Dean, then she sees him being collected by a dumbstruck Baylor.

Since finishing college, Eden’s been enjoying her best life. Her closest friend, Julia Caldwell, a hairstylist, her dog Petunia, and Blaine, her fun-loving co-host complete her inner circle.

Her mother’s been after her to start going out on dates and Blaine caught wind of the situation, thinking it’d be funny to have a segment as she goes out on a blind date on a Friday and recounts about it on a Monday. She was recounting her comical tale of blind dates as her date presumptuously went as far as ordering for her, so on a lark she asked Blaine on air to marry her.
That was the day she got the email from Baylor, which ended up being from Norah. She’s blindsided by an email supposedly signed by Baylor, fifteen years after that fateful kiss after graduation, inviting her to attend her high school reunion.
Backed into a corner, she relents and agrees to attend.

Her second night in town, she discovers from Baylor that her mother misled him to believe she’s been married this entire time.

As Eden tries to figure out why Baylor invited her, she is quickly able to discern her matchmaker. Dean is now a divorce attorney with two marriages under his belt, and Baylor after Uni instead of becoming the architect as he was destined to be, took over the family business.

We also learn Dean’s always had unrequited feelings for Eden. Despite that, he remains devoted to his two best friends.
“Dean, you were one of my best friends. Of course I loved you, but only as a brother, I’m sorry.”
“You didn’t? I did everything that a gentleman should, I crammed myself in the back of Baylor’s car so many times. I took you to prom. I was just hoping that something would’ve been there. I guess the old saying is true, nice guys finish last, but then again I can’t deny that you and Baylor are perfect for each other. I just have to put my old feelings aside.”
“Dean, you are amazing and one of the best guys I’ve ever met. I have no doubt in my mind that one day soon you’ll find your special person who can handle all that you have to offer.”

1999
Until a month before graduation Baylor was in a relationship with a vile creature, Kristina. Superficially she was beautiful and popular, and a certifiable b*tch, trying everything in her power to keep Baylor away from Eden.

Baylor broke up with Kristina to explore his feelings for Eden.

Baylor May 2014
Baylor is a plumber, when his father died he took over the family business, to financially support the family.

(Eden 1999 - Day after Graduation)

She woke up extremely early that morning eager to see Baylor, after an earth shattering kiss. It was well before the crack of dawn on the first day of summer holiday. She retrieved his neatly wrapped present from the passenger seat and set off walking to the front door.
She never got a chance to see his reaction to her present.
“I was so nervous that day that I ended up being early. Kristina answered, which brought on a whole new set of emotions…betrayal being the most prominent. She spitefully informed me that you were in the shower and that the two of you had talked beforehand, deciding to give things another shot. She placed a hand on her then-flat stomach, and said that you two were thrilled to be expecting your first child. I must’ve dropped the present, your eight ball gearshift knob, when I ran off to my car and she played it off as hers. Once she said the words, ‘I’m pregnant,’ I knew that I couldn’t stand in the way of you being a family. I couldn’t stay here and watch her flaunt the life that I so desperately wanted. So I left.”

“Since Norah isn’t the right age, did she? Please tell me she didn’t lose the baby?”
“Enough! There was never any baby…”
“What?!”
“There was never any baby. We didn’t have sex until months after you had left.”
“I don’t understand what you’re saying.”
“I was a virgin at graduation, Eden, I wanted you to be my first…I was in love with you.”

Kristina manipulated her way into his life thinking he’d be an architect. When he took over the family business, she deserted him and abandoned their daughter.

I grabbed this because I am a sucker for second chances.

Well I liked it, the story didn't wow me. First the things I liked - The Three Musketeer friendship; Norah (would actually like to see a spin off of her story) Julia, and when Eden stood up for herself and those she loved. What I didn't care for - these are characters in their 30's but they read like they were still in high school. I'm usually a lover of flash backs, but I didn't enjoy them as much in this story. Overall it was a quick second chance read with a HEA

Loved it!

More Than A Memory is a beautiful second chance romance. That really draws on your heartstrings , seeing how a little miscommunication can take years from your happiness. Baylor and Eden are phenomenal characters, that you are so happy to see her their second chance and happily ever after.

Can your first love ever be forever love? When Eden takes off and leaves and never looks back. What happens when she comes back after all of these years? She runs into Baylor after all of this time and he is pretty much a single dad. A great story about second chances

"Often times you heard about best friends becoming lovers and it didn't always work out in the end. Did I think Eden and I were an exception to that? I suppose only time would tell."

One of my favorite types of stories to read are those involving rekindled romances. This book quickly became one of my favorites.

High school reunions can be fun. Seeing your old friends, talking to people you haven't seen since you graduated, and bringing up all the good memories. For Eden Richardt, it was the hardest thing she could ever go to. See, Eden left her hometown the day after graduation and never looked back. She went to college, became a successful radio personality, and lived a great life in Nashville. Until one day a letter was read on air that sealed her fate.
She was going back home.

"I feel like everything that has been missing in my life has been found when I'm with him."

Baylor Jenkins fell in love in high school. The only problem was that he couldn't tell her. This girl was his best friend. How could he possibly tell her his feelings and her not flip out? What he didn't know was she felt the same. The night of graduation, he finally made his move only to have her vanish the next day. Now this reunion is coming up. Will she come? Will she explain why she left so suddenly?
Will she ever be his?

"I've missed you so much, Eden. I've caught myself many times over the years thinking about you and wondering if you were truly happy in all aspects of your life. I know it's inevitable but I'll continue to beat myself up over not going after you."

I loved Eden and Baylor from the start. Those two along with their other best friend, Dean, made this story truly come to life. The Three Musketeers, as they called each other, were a true testament of what friendship is. Even though Eden had left Baylor and Dean fifteen years ago, they still had this undeniable connection. I found myself wanting to be a part of their group. I have to admit that Dean is too funny and swoonworthy in his own right;)

Another dynamic of the book is the character Norah. She is Baylor's twelve year old daughter. She is quirky, fun, and always looking out for her dad. Which is why she will do anything to make this romance between him and Eden to come together. I loved the closeness that Baylor had with his daughter.

You also have Eden's friends back in Nashville. Her co-worker, Blaine, and her best girlfriend, Julia. Even though Julia couldn't be with Eden during this reunion, she never stopped helping her through everything. She knew why Eden ran all those years ago, and she was determined to keep her strong. But there's only so much you can do when fate and love have other plans.

"Just don't falling in love with him, Eden, you've gotta protect your heart."
"Oh you won't have to worry about that, I won't go falling in love with him. You can't fall in love with someone you already still love."

It's amazing what happens to people after they don't see each other for fifteen years. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! I'm such a hopeless romantic.

"You were it, Baylor. No guy in high school would've ever compared. No guy still compares to you. You set a pretty high standard."

"This woman, whether she knew it or not, owned me and my heart. She always had the ability to strip me bare of my emotions and leave me raw. I hoped that I consumed her even a fraction of what she had consumed me."

I can not tell you all the things I loved about this story! The friendship, the love, the family, and the struggle of it all. Every little detail and feature made me feel so much emotion. Not just the lovey parts, but the funny side-spliting parts, and the heartbreaking moments that leave you with a tear in your eye.

I can't wait to read more about these characters!! I tell you that I need more of all of them. I know they arent done yet:)

I love when a book just takes you to the basics of love-first love. They say that your first love is the hardest thing you'll ever get over. For some, like Eden and Baylor, it's the one thing you always strive for.

"She had the most important part of me that she could always keep and hold close,
my heart."

More Than A Memory was a lovely story about three best friends, Eden, Baylor and Dean, growing up together in a small town in Oregon. After entering high school, Eden and Baylor develop romantic feelings for one another, and only Dean knows how they both feel about each other, until the kiss....

Fifteen years later, Eden is working as a morning radio show host in Nashville, ever since finishing college out there, having the time of her life. Eden has created this whole new life for herself after leaving Oregon, and everyone behind since high school graduation. She has a best friend, Julia Caldwell, a hairstylist, Petunia, a rambunctious West Highland Terrier, and Blaine, her fun loving co-host on the radio show. While on air telling her sorted blind date story, Eden is blindsided by her co-host Blaine with an email he has Eden read while on the air. The letter is from Baylor, asking Eden to please come to their high school reunion and to reconnect with him and everyone she left behind fifteen years ago without a word. The email puts Eden in the position of being backed into a corner, so she reluctantly agrees to attend.

The story has a very mysterious edge to it with why Eden left after graduation and her first kiss with Baylor. She never looked back and never spoke a word to Dean or Baylor as to why or what happened, and she still harbored deep feelings for Baylor even after all these years. When Eden arrives back in town, she is immediately confronted by Dean at the airport. Dean seems more forgiving and welcomes her back in his life with open arms but wants to know what happened. Then there is Baylor. When they first see each other, he is so dumbfounded she is there that he doesn't even say, "Hi!"

As Eden tries to figure out why Baylor invited her back, she slowly puts the pieces of the puzzle together from the past. Getting reacquainted with her best friends from high school, Eden learns that Dean had become a divorce attorney and has been twice divorced, and Baylor has taken over the family business instead of becoming the architect he was meant to be. Learning as much as she can without talking about what drove her to leave, Eden falls for Baylor all over again until she learns of his daughter, Norah.

What I loved about the Eden now verses the Eden in high school is that she has grown to be a very curvacious, confident woman. The bond she had with Dean and Baylor in high school doesn't seem to have faltered until Baylor opens old wounds. During this discovery, she learns that her own mother has had a lot to do with her estrangement to Baylor, and she doesn't run and hide from it. She confronts her mother. Baylor grew up to be a very caring, responsible man, and he chips away at Eden not willing to let their past lie. Dean, on the other hand, turns out to have a sad story of his own that was never revealed until later. His issue never quite gets resolved, which is still sad, but he accepts his circumstances and mans up, not allowing his feelings to ruin his friendships. The whole heart breaking story could have been avoided with simple communication, but with such hurt feelings and inability to control anger, Eden and Baylor were kept from each other, but fate wouldn't allow them to be kept apart. Fate.....they were meant to be together, it was so touching. To have a soul mate is such a rare gift, only to have some cruel bitch interfere with destiny over her own selfishness was just wrong, but karma bit her in the ass for what she had done, and I totally reveled in the justice of it all! I love how the truth unraveled and gave me a happily ever after in the end! Baylor and Eden were truly meant to be more than a memory....

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review (thank you).

More Than A Memory by Amber Nation, is a book about second chances, the one that got away and you didn't even know why. Nation pulls at every heartstring, and for me made me think back on my high school days. I just wondered to myself, how many people are really with their first true love? Do you really ever get over the first love? Nation made me examine on my own experiences, I wont tell you my findings, but I will tell you that Nation does an awesome job putting you right in her story.

What would you do for a second chance for with that first love? The one who captured your heart and if your truthful with yourself still has it. Eden left her hometown without a word to her best friends, one of which had been the one, her one she thought to be forever. Now it's time for that dreadful high school reunion, who wants to suffer though that. Not Eden, she had no desire to go back and face her once best friends again, until that is, she gets a letter. The one, that first love, the one she can't forget, wrote a letter asking her to come to the reunion, needless to say this made her rethink everything.

Baylor is still in their living hometown, just a normal life. He is divorced from Eden's nemesis, Kristina. They have a daughter together, Baylor has custody due to Kristina not really having much to due with her. Baylor is working in the family plumbing business, and is mostly happy in his life. He has always missed Eden, as a friend if nothing else. She left him 15 years ago, right after their graduation night.

They both meet up at the local bar before the reunion. They feel all the heat of before, but can it ever be more than just that? It is so hard when communication issues get in the way. That seemed to be the problem 15 years ago and it just might continue to be their problem. That is a true life issue for most couples, miscommunication or just no communication at all.

Nation did a fabulous job on the secondary characters as well, she built them up enough to intrigue me to want more of them as well. By this being titled, A Cottage Grove Novel, I was hoping that this would be a series. I contacted Ms. Nation through facebook and was pleased to hear that we will get at least one more book! This might have been my first book by Amber Nation but it won't be my last. Get ready to be author stalked Ms. Nation! I'm coming to one of your book signings soon.

I was given this book for my honest review

Do you remember the first time you were able to read a word on a page? The laughter and the joy in telling everyone and anyone that would listen that you read a word but not just one word. One word turned into two then a sentence which made us feel prouder and prouder bursting at the seams till we couldn’t breathe. We divided and conquered and yet still knew we wanted more of the world just opening to us.

Eden-sweet, pretty and sassy

Baylor-hunky and scared

Eden is the woman that has many regrets but the one regret she has she only makes known to her best-friend. She is coming on her 15th high school reunion and not wanting to go home to revisit the past but when a certain person contacts her the past becomes imminent she can no longer stop the past coming full circle. But what happens when the one man from the past is the one that you have been avoiding this whole time and he wants to right a wrong?

Baylor is a man that is hunky and sweet. He is the man that has obligations and is totally ok with that but is he really? Doing the right thing for his family has always been his life but what happens when your past comes to the future and you wanting said past? Does he go for it or do the right thing and stay within the lines that have been set all this time?

Eden and Baylor have a jagged past together but never had gotten answers from one another to what happened in the past. Why Eden ran away from Baylor the day after graduation. Why neither of them kept in contact and let the past dictate the future. When the reunion comes into play this is their chance to right the wrongs from the past or is it? Will they be able to open up to one another and tell what is in their hearts to a happy future together or will a few nights of amazing, volcanic sex be all? Will they walk away with answers about the past or will they continue on their perspective futures without knowing the truth? Will this couple have a chance at forever together?

To the author: This was an amazing read. You took high school to a whole new level which brought the future of perspective loves together. You kept me at the edge of my seat the whole entire way. This book entranced me beyond words. You also showed that with hope there is always a way if only given the chance.

To the readers: Please enjoy this awesome read.

Happy Reading.

Eeek! Another series from Amber Nation! I was super excited to get my hands on this baby and dive into the lives and loves of Cottage Grove. From the synopsis I could tell this one was going to be a bit of a heart breaker with the thoughts of lost love, rekindled romance and second chances.

Amber starts off "More Than A Memory" with the Three Musketeers and graduation night. Baylor, Eden and Dean have been best friends for a long time with Eden harboring a secret love for Baylor and Baylor doing the same for her. Fast forward 15 years later and we learn that Eden left without a word the next morning with Baylor and Dean never knowing why and questioning how she could walk away at such a pivotal moment.

When fate steps in and convinces Eden to return to Oregon for her class reunion, Baylor and Eden's life once more intersects and all the questions of the past are asked and demanding an answer. With the help of his daughter, Baylor works to build up the courage to confront the love he never got over. Despite a meddling mother, Eden must decide if she can share the truth of what really happened all those years ago that caused her to run.

A sweet story of second chances, "More Than A Memory" takes us through the present with flashbacks of the past. A romantic journey of two best friends, this will definitely provide you with the beloved HEA we come to expect from Amber.

What would you do if the person you love, pick up and left without saying goodbye? And left without really knowing how you feel?

Baylor, Dean and Eden were friends when they were kids and stayed close throughout high school, until Eden left without a goodbye. Both Dean and Baylor had the hots for Eden and she never even knew.

As for Eden, she has been in love with Baylor for as long as she can remember, but she thought she never had a chance. She believes that Baylor thinks of her as one of the guys. Until that graduation night when Baylor finally took the leap and kissed Eden, her very first kiss. That should’ve been the beginning of their happy ending, but it wasn’t. Eden left with no explanation, but even after 15 yrs apart, they still thought of each other wondering what went wrong.

 photo MoreThanAMemory.jpg

With the High School reunion around the corner, will they meet up to catch up and get their second chance? Read and find out.

This is a cute story of friends becoming lovers. I always loved the idea of childhood best friends falling in love and this book is all about that. This book gives glimpses of the past of what each of them went through and why both Baylor and Eden were left heartbroken. Memories of the past hunted them, but being separated help both of them grow into better versions of themselves. This book has a beautiful ending, as expected from an Amber Nation novel. =)

Eden Richardt had two best friends growing up in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Baylor Jenkins and Dean were her best friends. They did everything together. as they got older Eden started to have feelings for Baylor but she didn't want to risk their friendship. She didn't know that Baylor felt the same, even though he dated Kristina. Kristina hated Eden and Eden felt the same about her. On graduation Baylor finally got the nerve to kiss her. He kissed her right before she went into her home. He told her to come to his house the next morning so they could talk. Baylor figures they could date during the summer before leaving to go to college. They were going different places. When Eden didn't show up the next day he went to her home and her mother told him she went to take care of her Nana in another state. That was the last her saw of her and he didn't know why. Her mom wouldn't give him any info on Eden. Fifteen years later she is coming back to Cottage Grove for their high school reunion. She thinks she got a note from Baylor asking her to come so they could talk. This is the first she had heard from him and she was mad at him. He doesn't know why but he wants to find out what made her flee. She holds the key to him understanding. He can't forget her even though he married and divorced Kristina. He is now raising his twelve year old daughter, Norah. Eden has also never been married she compares everyone to Baylor and she realizes how much she has missed him. When she goes back and they finally get to talk the truth comes out and so does their need for each other. They find they both are more than a memory. This was a great story. It does contain some profanity and sex scenes so it isn't for everyone

More Than a Memory by Amber Nation
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Ohhhhh 2nd chance romance…so sweet. I am really draw to those stores because doesn’t every one wonder at one point in their life about a lost love????
Eden loved her best friend Baylor for as long as she can remember. Too bad he never saw her that way. Or did he? On graduation night when love is on the cusp for our characters, Eden runs away?? WHAT!! It takes 15 years for her to return and face the past that she left all those years ago.
Eden is bound to face her past and see why it took Baylor 15 years to email her. Baylor is stunned stupid when he sees the love of his life but can’t believe she actually came to the school reunion. Dean, the couples last partner or third of the musketeers, is there to help the couple navigate through everything to find a way back to the other. When the reason for the big miscommunication is revealed…smh…someone was gonna get a big old throat punch for causing drama.
When Eden and Baylor rebound from the past and look to the future they are both scared to question it. She has to go home to Tennessee and he has to stay in Oregon. Again our couple is so scared that they don’t talk and so again heart ache happens but this time Baylor will not give up without a fight.
I am so freaking excited for book 2 because Dean will killing me in this book. He is so sweet and he loved Eden just as much as Baylor. I want him to find his true love and I guarantee a certain bestie hairdresser will give him a good run for his money!!!

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.
This was my first Amber Nation book and boy have I been missing out. She knows how to tell a story. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. I love second chance stories that give someone the opportunity to undo a wrong. Baylor and Eden even Dean needed closure and some communication lessons after everything that happened to them.
Baylor, Eden and Dean were the best of friends growing up they were the Three Musketeers. Eden was one of the guys and thought Baylor and Dean could only ever see her as there BFF. That is until graduation night it all changed for Baylor and Eden and both couldn’t be happier. Then the next day Eden was gone without a trace or explanation why she left. This hurt Baylor and Dean. 15 years latter Baylor now divorced and has a wonderful daughter finds himself getting ready for his class reunion wondering if he will ever see Eden.
Eden left her little town with no intentions of going back. She is now has her own morning radio show and loves her job. Well except when her meddling mother and co-host have a great idea to help her find “the one”. One day on air she receives a special invite to her class reunion and now has to decide if she will go back home. Loved seeing Baylor, Eden and Dean reunite and finding out all their secrets, yes even Dean had one. The best part was seeing Eden go head to head with her high school bully. To see the bond Eden was able to make with Baylor’s daughter in such a short amount of time was amazing. The relationship Eden has with her VFF spunky hairdresser is something everyone should have. I’m so excited for this series and need to know more about Dean and this spitfire hairdresser.

Everyone wants to be more than someone’s memory. This is a cute story about second chances. Everyone deserves a second chance. Eden, Baylor, and Dean have been the best of friends….since, forever. They are finally graduating from high school and they all have their own little secrets. Eden has always been one of the boys but has secretly been in love with Baylor. She just didn’t know how to tell him. Come to find out that Baylor has secretly been in love with Eden. And just when he makes his move to let Eden know how he feels, Eden vanishes. She just falls off the face of the earth. 15 years go by. Everyone’s life has changed. Eden has gone off to make a career in radio for herself and Baylor has started running the family business and has a daughter. Neither has gone a day without thinking about the other. Thankfully for some meddling by others, Eden decides to attend her 15 year high school reunion. Emotions run high as secrets are revealed. So many misunderstandings but soon enough everyone’s laundry is aired out. This is a super cute story with everyone’s favorite second chances. This is a new author for me but I am hooked! Definitely looking forward to the next story!

Baylor, Eden and Dean aware best friends, the "three musketeers" as they are called. Eden has feelings for Baylor and vice versa. Only Dean knows how they feel about each other. On graduation night, Baylor kisses her. It's everything she hoped for... Or was it?

15 years go by from that night since Eden and Baylor have see me each other. Baylor has no idea why. With a reunion taking place, he's hoping to seek we find out what went wrong.

Eden doesn't want to go back, but she does. Seeing Baylor surfaces old feelings, happy and sad.

More Than a Memory tugs at your heartstrings!!! It's full of heartbreak, hope, and love. Amber really knocked it out of the park with this one! It's a must read of 2015, so start the new year out right. This book is a bit more steamier than Amber's previous ones, and needless to say, I love it!

This story revolves around Eden and Baylor, two high school best friends that are torn apart when you least expect it. Do they find their way back to one another? You'll have to read it to find out, and believe me....YOU WANT TO READ THIS!!!

Beta Read

I truly enjoyed the love story of Baylor and Eden. 15 years of miscommunication brought together by an on air letter than had everyone encouraging the return for her high school reunion. What Eden didn't expect was the lies, truths, and revelations that came all in one week. Baylor was a fighter and had a partner in crime in the form of a 13 yr old. Oh and the surprises were to screech over. Yep Amber has another winner in which she will reveal to the rest of the world in January. Sorry peeps I was pushing for you guys to get this in December.

I was excited to read this book from a new author!!!

This was such an amazing story...I just fell in love with these characters. Three best friends from high school and how one situation made them never talk again until 15 years later. And I would of never imagined the story to go the way it did. The author threw a lot of turns in the story line and kept you on the edge of your seat. And the sex scenes were hott!!!!

I can't wait to read more from her!!

This book makes me want to laugh cry and generally scream and jump up and down.

Baylor and Eden have always been in love but they lose each other for 15 years, however second chances do happen and this second chance was so so so so sweet to read!

I adored it and Norah too!

I am looking forward to Dean's book next <3

I'm kind of biased about Amber Nation's books I guess because I have loved every single one of them. Eden and Bayler are no exception. I loved the story line, fell in love with the characters immediately, and didn't put it down from the moment I started it, until it was finished. Great story. Great characters. <3 this author!

To be quite honest, this felt like it was written by a teenager. The separation of 15 years was just too unbelievable. The rekindling of their relationship felt rushed and not very passionate. Have read much better second chance romances.
