I got this accidentally - I meant to get The Outdoor Athlete by the Schurmans. I borrowed an old copy from the library so the photos and illustrations were hilariously dated. It opens with a chapter dedicated to each component of overall fitness and a general guide to getting in shape, then has workout guides targeted to specific outdoor activities. The recommendations seemed in line with more recent publications: cardio, flexibility, and strength (bodyweight and free weights). I did giggle at their big thumbs up for roller blading ;)
