This is the third book in the sinful Knights series
Dexter is working for a company that he really wants to leave all because of his boss Simon. his two best friends have already gone but that doesn’t mean that Dexter can’t find him extremely handsome and sexy. He wished he could stop having these feelings but he was having no joy. So one night when he was out with friends drinking he spotted Simon and honestly I think everybody’s had that night where you’ve had too much to drink and you say what’s on your mind? You have no filter and as much as Simon tried to be the bigger man Dexter proved to be very determined. Let’s just say Dexter followed Simon into the bathroom of the pub and something happened. That would change everything.
Simon worked as the head of the HR department and he was finding the first few months tricky business. He had lost two members of the team and he had been told by his boss that if they lost the third, his probation wouldn’t be extended again it would be the end. So he’s desperate to keep his staff, some who haven’t taken to him, but Dexter is a tricky one. That evening in the bar Simon knows he should’ve stopped Dexter he knows it should never have happened so on Monday morning he asks Dexter to come in for a quick word and they agree to forget about what happened just get past it. But it doesn’t stop either of them wanting the other and the funny thing is that Dexter woke up Saturday morning with the worst hangover of his life and no memory of what he had done so he had no idea what Simon was talking about but didn’t want to look stupid just agreed. And that’s in the first couple of chapters.
I’ve got to say I really took the Dexter. I just liked his personality. He is flirty and he goes after what he wants. Simon took a little bit to get used too but I’ve got to say I really liked him too. his ex-husband is a total psychopath let me just tell you didn’t like him at all. But that’s another story going on in this book behind the scenes the real story is Dexter and Simon and I just couldn’t put it down. This is a great read.. the passion these two share is explosive on times as well as tender you get that feeling that these two were just meant for one another. They have great friends too.
There’s a lot going on in this Book. I just couldn’t put it down. I am super excited to read more from this author.

This book was such an interesting mix of tension, emotion, and chemistry, and I ended up really enjoying seeing Simon and Dexter’s relationship unfold. It all starts with one drunken night that Simon can’t stop thinking about, even though Dexter doesn’t remember it at all, which already sets up this awkward, charged dynamic between them. Simon tries to keep things strictly professional, but the more time he spends around Dexter the harder that becomes, especially since Dexter is exactly his type and impossible to ignore. What I liked most though was how the story slowly reveals that Simon isn’t just the grumpy, arrogant boss everyone at work seems to think he is. A lot of that reputation comes from the situation with Jason that’s explored in another book, but here we get to see a much more vulnerable side of him. His personal life is messy and stressful, especially with an ex-husband who refuses to stay out of his life despite changed locks, cameras, and every attempt to create distance, and that situation adds a layer of tension and fear that makes Simon feel much more human. Dexter on the other hand is immediately easy to like. He’s warm, funny, hardworking, and dealing with a lot of pressure in his own life too, including a complicated home situation with a mother struggling with addiction. At first he thinks Simon is attractive but completely insufferable, and because of his loyalty to Jason he’s already halfway out the door when it comes to the job. But a few unexpected moments between them slowly start shifting everything. What begins as something secret and impulsive gradually grows into something deeper, and I really liked how their conversations start peeling back the layers of who they both are. They go from tension and frustration to understanding and support, and the relationship that develops between them feels genuine and emotionally grounded. Watching them move from that thin line between hate and attraction into something real was honestly one of the most satisfying parts of the story, and it made their connection feel earned rather than rushed. Overall it was a really engaging read with a good balance of emotional depth, tension, and romance, and it definitely made me appreciate Simon’s character in a way I hadn’t expected

Wow, this book was so good yet so painful because of how close to the author’s real life it was.
Losing a parent is never easy and the fact that Oliver still was able to write this beautiful book despite his grief, is nothing short of inspiring. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for him to do so and still give us such a compelling story.
Dexter and Simon had a very complicated relationship. Simon was Dexter’s boss and the two clashed over Dexter’s friend quitting the company.
Dexter saw Simon as a jerk and blamed him for his friend leaving, however, that didn’t stop him from noticing now hot Simon was. He ticked all of Dexter’s boxes and that was such a shame because the man was such a turd.
When one drunken night leads to the hottest encounter of Simon’s life, he tries to keep things professional. Problem is, Dexter doesn’t remember the night in question.
Simon can’t get Dexter out of his head, especially when the red head is exactly his type. Simon can’t help but admire Dexter’s fire and competency and will do anything to keep him working for the company.
When Dexter’s life is turned upside down, Simon finds himself giving Dexter the support he needs. He’s there for him without hesitation or Dexter having to ask.
What began as a drunken impulse, became something they didn’t know they needed. The kind of love that leaves you breathless and makes you believe everything is possible.
Simon didn’t exactly have the best track record when it came to love, given that his marriage ended in divorce and his ex was a psycho. But Dexter showed him that the love they shared was one based on equality and truth. Not one based on expensive things and empty words.
Dexter and Simon went from hating to loving each other in the most beautiful way. After all, there’s a very thin line between love and hate, and theirs was practically invisible.
This series keeps getting better and better with each book. Who knew the deadly sins could be such a guilty pleasure😏

I loved Simon and Dexter together! They have quite the journey to travel before they get to their love and HEA, but it's worth it!
The beginning is a bit confusing as Simon is the boss that is apparently hated for some reason. This is mostly due to a situation with Jason, a former employee who quit, and is explained in that book rather than this one, but paints Simon as arrogant and grumpy.
This book focuses on the side of Simon not seen before, the part of him that is awkward, vulnerable, and going through a lot in his personal life - an ex husband that cheated and has somehow managed to gain entry into Simon's home despite locks being changed more than once, as well as cameras and other security features, and is displaying violent tendencies and erratic behavior.
Dexter is a fun and likeable character, he happens to think his boss is hot but arrogant, but due to being friends with Jason, he is looking for another job. He is also stressed because he's dealing with a mum that he is very close to that has serious issues due to addiction.
After a couple of non work related situations, Simon and Dexter manage to find themselves having a lot of unwanted thoughts about one another. Deciding to have a sort of secret fling, neither is expecting anything other than that. But these encounters lead to some serious conversations that end up revealing who they really are, and as a result, a deeper connection builds between them - one that feels so good and genuine. Each man has external situations that arise that are causing drama and anxiety, but they are finding that together, they can get through anything, and they discover a love that is worth anything.
The author does an amazing job showing the development of the deepening connection between Simon and Dexter, and manages to give them a perfectly wonderful HEA.

The author shows a side of Simon that’s vulnerable, awkward, and quietly heartbreaking. Watching Simon navigate that emotional minefield adds a depth to his character that feels raw and real. Dexter is instantly likable—fun, warm, and trying his best while juggling a stressful home life with a mother struggling through addiction. I received an Arc for this book.. I truly enjoyed this book. Simon and Dexter are The most sweetest couple I have read. When I started reading this book I’m like oh boy here come the Broody arrogant boss how I was mistaken.
Simon is the boss he’s not well liked by his peers including Dexter. As the story progressed I swooned for Simon. The way he showed his vulnerability was endearing. Dexter was giving him a hard time because his friends left the company. But…. They had a little meet up and Dexter could not remember. This is where I’ll stop lol spoiler free.
Simon and Dexter are the sweetest couple together they are equals love each other unconditionally. This is a new to me Author and he truly wrote a beautiful and sweet story.

I love it when authors give you a different perspective on a character you weren't fond of in a different book. I did not like Simon in Jasons book, but damn did I love him quick in this one. I loved how their relationship developed from a place of animosity into love. Dexter was always a likable character, but I enjoyed seeing the motivations he had in his mother. I also really love that this book interconnects with others. I love this group of people so much, and I love adding more branches to this. I do feel for the ex-husband. He seemed to have some serious things to work, though. It could be interesting to get a redemption book for him and his new partner. Just a thought. All said I loved this one, especially since I got to see Jason again, and I love him.

It’s a perfect short-ish story well written and which despite the shortness doesn’t feel rushed. It’s a delight following the couples in this universe. So glad I can come along.

High spice romance between 2 co-workers. Simon is the new boss that Dexter works for. They dislike each other at the beginning, but one night they run into each other in a bar. Dexter is drunk, they hook up in the bathroom, and things take off from there.
Simon has issues with his ex-husband who keeps showing up at his house even though they are divorced. Dexter has issues with his drug addicted mother. They have to figure out how to stay together when it's clearly a problem at work since one is the boss.

The first few pages was a bit hard to get pass, but something just changed and I loved the rest of the book. I haven't read any other book in this series so I didn't have any connection to the characters. Not a big deal, but I would love to know the whole conflict between Jason (from another book) and Simon. Of course this probably affects my view of Simon more positively and he is such a sweetheart. The relationship between Simon and Dexter is spicy and I love that they both have strong personalities and know what they want.
This is very well written, the content is interesting and I love both MC's and the secondary characters. I really enjoyed reading this.

Book 3 in this series and it's Simon, and Dexter and turn they meet up after a drunken get together and it turns out that they are boss and employee and start up a secret relationship. I loved this book and am enjoying reading the series.

This book consumed my attention from the very first page until the last. I could not put this book down for even a second. I loved these characters so much and I did not want this book to end.
