I had the privilege of reading this ARC, and I’m still reeling from it. The world-building is immersive, the magic system intricate and dangerous, and the story itself pulses with tension. Every character is forged through trials and trauma, only to realize they’re not battling separate demons but the very same monster wearing different faces. This is a tale of ruthless power and the brave souls who dare to rise against it. And this is only the beginning. The Violet Moon ignites the series with a spark that promises an inferno to come and now I’m left impatient, desperate for the next installment.

The book was a bit confusing with the way it gave it information.
Right off the bat we are introduced to a lot of concepts and characters, which are thrown at us as if we are supposed to know what/who they are.
The writing in itself is ok, although some sentences are all over the place.
Also some characters were hard for me to connect to emotionally, but that might just be me.

Because of those things I struggled to get into the book at first, but around halfway mark, things became intense and very interesting, so I'm glad I got to read it and I'm really interested where this journey will get us!

I was given the opportunity to read and review this ARC and I am glad I was able to do so. The world building, magical systems, and story are intriguing. Each person goes through trials and trauma, but they find that they are all fighting the same beast. This is a story of those in power and those that will fight it. This is a first in series! So if you don’t like waiting for the next book, put this on your TBR for now. The Violet Moon is only the beginning and I can't wait to read the next part.

At the beginning, this book felt a bit confusing, but soon it had me completely engaged! The magic system is immersive and dangerous, filled with betrayal, loss and tension. It explores topics of ruthless power and those willing to stand against it. Each character is fighting their own battles, emotional hardship and scars, ultimately realizing they are all battling the same monster. Overall, I really enjoyed this first book and am intrigued to dive into the next book in the series!

This story is quite captivating: full of magic, loss, betrayal, and what constitutes love and family. I do think I would have liked more background on the kingdom(s) and the history because it took me a bit to get my bearings, but the characters and their plights certainly carry this tale. I definitely want to know more.
