Levels and Curves with GIMP

Most image editors include severla powerful tools to improve your pictures. Among them, the histogram is used as a basic analysis tool, then Levels and Curves tools are used to perform the required adjustments.

Levels adjustment allows for an initial light and contrast correction. Curves adjustment adds the flexibility to control every single tone or shade separately.
