Benedict Flynn did an amazing job narrating this audiobook. Odysseus contains exciting stories that made me cringe quite a bit. I wondered about reading these to children, which I think I must have years ago. Certainly it must have been a different version. Giants biting off the heads of sailors is a bit gruesome. I loved, though, how Odysseus outwitted his opponents, especially the cyclops. But honestly I had forgotten how this led to dire consequences for Odysseus. What was revealing to me was how capricious and immoral the Greek gods were. Against such a back drop the Gospel certainly is good news.

Well written. Straight forward, adventurous, fun story, and insightful to the Greek mythology. Loved it!

Benedict Flynn rewrites classics for kids and in the process manages to avoid dumbing them down or Disney-fying them. Although Logan, at 6 years old, did not enjoy this *quite* as much as he did Robin Hood, I think that's more a matter of his current interests (pirates, knights, castles) and less because of any difference in quality between the two.

I liked it. It was engaging and enlightening. encouraging also at no matter how bad things got he never gave up hope... Neither did his family. Thank you Mr. Flynn for not dumbing it down and bringing the stories to life.
