Ain’t No Safe Place: A raw, emotional urban drama about survival, trauma, and breaking the cycle

Rate this book
Imani never asked for the life she was given. Born into chaos, raised by demons in disguise, and thrown into a world that showed her no mercy—this is the story of a young girl just trying to survive.

From dirty needles in the kitchen drawer to locked doors that never kept the monsters out, Ain’t No Safe Place is a gut-wrenching journey through addiction, abuse, family betrayal, and foster care hell. But Imani? She’s a fighter. Even when the world turned its back, she kept pushing, writing her pain into notebooks and lighting candles for people who never lit one for her.

This ain’t no fairy tale. This is real life. Raw. Messy. And unforgettable.

If you’ve ever been silenced, overlooked, or left behind—this one’s for you.
Ain’t No Safe Place will break your heart and piece it back together. Don’t miss it.

Terrible editing

You DESPERATELY need a new editor. I’m refusing to believe you’re that pressed to put these stories out that you’re not checking over your work. Earl turned into Marcus for half the book. You killed Geneva twice. Wtf is going on?

Great story.

I'm a bit confused. Wasn't the grandma's boyfriend named Earl? And the foster woman's son name was Marcus? I thought the aunt called and said her mom passed but she suddenly was back alive. Maybe im sleepy reading this, idk

Sad story

Loved the book but towards the end it started jumping all over. Wish it ended a little differently but definitely a good read!
