He’s full of shit.
He thinks he can fool me?
He thinks I don’t know him?
He’s lying to himself.
Leah is a fairy tale.
A princess...
I know I’m not her prince.
I’m not the happy ending for her...
The goal is not to keep my princess.
I brought her here to set her free.
It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I wasn’t supposed to tell her, but I have to.
"If we get out of here, you won't forget me, will you?"
"Do you think that I'd forget you? Never. You're like...the center of the universe to me."
"I won't forget you either, Leah."

"I'm telling you to get lost, Leah. I didn't ask for you like this. I wanted Lauren. I'm not like you, Leah. I might want to f*ck you, but I don't want you. I'm not waiting for you. Can't you tell?"
"Do you think you have to be a certain person for me? News flash, Hansel-Edgar-whoever you are. I'm not the same girl I used to be, either."
"I don't want to hear a word of protest, Gretel. You came here on your own, knowing everything you know; you're mine and I will treat you how I will."

”I don’t want to hear a word of protest, Gretel. You came here on your own, knowing everything you know; you’re mine and I will treat you how I will.”
”Want to say her name. To take her hand. I know for damn sure that she’s not asleep. Why won’t she talk to me?”
Beautiful Leah, older now but still herself. Even now, with her skin so pale and her eyes so big, my Leah is a fairy tale. A princess, like I used to tell her.
Why is he acting like he cares for me but saying he doesn’t?

I love the character development with Hansel. And the idea of using fairy tale characters is brilliant and original. I love the way Ms. James can easily draw you right into these characters minds. This series switches POVs between both Lucas and Leah (Hansel & Gretel) so you get to feel both of their emotions as the story progresses.
I can't say enough about Hansel, other then you should give this one a shot if you are an erotic romance reader! :)
pls dont...
