Capes & Clues: Book 2 in The Dominion Point Mystery Series

At Dominion Point Academy, power comes in many forms—and not all of it wears a cape.

After cracking her first real case, Paige Calloway is finally finding her footing among powered peers and strategic chaos. But when a star hero’s showcase ends in a fiery disaster and a mysterious figure starts shadowing her every move, Paige finds herself pulled into a new mystery—one with higher stakes, shifting alliances, and secrets that could upend everything she thought she knew.

With the help of her sarcastic friends, her ex-vigilante grandma, and her brooding mentor Ashford—who still knows exactly how to get under her skin—Paige must dig deeper into Dominion Point’s polished facade. Because behind the spandex and status, someone’s pulling strings… and Paige might be the only one smart enough (or stubborn enough) to cut them.

At Dominion Point, the real danger isn’t who has powers—it’s who knows how to use them.

Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with a twist of capes, slow-burn romance, and smart, determined heroines who know how to find trouble—and a murderer—before trouble finds them.

Another day another mystery

I wavered between three and four stars. In the end it’s a four for potential. The idea and the world building is cool, although I want to know more about what happened in Paige’s past as that colors her attitude and approach to life. The characters are strong and we’re getting more insight into who they are which I like. What is dragging this in my opinion and I’m not saying this to be mean is the writing style. It’s frustrating. There is too much repetition of phrasing, or explanation of what’s going on and it drags you out of the flow and enjoyment of the story. I’ve read other books by this author and they don’t have this issue. I hope it improves because I really do like the premise and I want to read more.

Capes And Clues - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

At Dominion Point Academy, Paige is feeling relieved that her first case is closed and she can relax again...but not so, dear reader.

A tale of mystery, magic and skulduggery afoot means that our young sleuth is at great pains to know whom she can trust, after tragedy strikes once more.
Who's stalking Paige...and who can she turn to for help?

Well, now! That was a mystery that truly kept me guessing. I love watching Paige’s mind work, and those of her besties. I'm also getting a lot of enjoyment out of seeing Paige grow into the hero we all want her to be, even if Ashford isn’t the most gentle soul about guiding her there. I already can’t wait to read what comes next.

Paige is back in book two of the cozy mystery series, and I am loving all the intrigue and twists along the way. I love how Paige is not only learning more about herself but also solving a mystery at the same time. This is a well written, fun cozy mystery with great characters, and a mystery that makes this a page turner. Capes & Clues is book two and a great addition to The Dominion Point Mystery. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Book 2 and the story just as capturing as the first. The characters are growing really well. This is developing as a really great who done it style series

Highly recommended
