This ebook is designed specifically for the Kindle Voyage, Kindle Paperwhite, and 2014 entry-level Kindle. It contains basic getting started tips and progresses through to tips and tricks for advanced users. It includes information on how to get free ebooks from public libraries, how to export notes and highlights, how to convert and send documents and ebooks to Kindles, and a lot more.
I have owned older Kindles before. Then I switched to Barnes & Nobles' Nook eReader. But for the last two years or so I've been using a Samsung tablet as my eReader. This holiday season I got a Kindle Oasis. It was an absolute love at first sight! Those who miss holding a paper book, this is Amazon's answer to them. Amazon's minimalist design lets you focus in to the content of whatever book you may be reading, rather than distracting you with different features of the device. It is so light and the lopsided design makes it easy to hold using your either hand. A built-in accelerometer reorients the display accordingly. Goodreads is built in to the device. When I get a new device the first thing I do (usually even before the device is shipped to me) is download and read the manual from cover to cover. Which is what I did here too. But I found some valuable advice/suggestions in the Tips & Tricks book and found it to be well worth my time. Even though the Tips & Trick is a much shorter book compared to the Kindle Oasis manual, they seem to complement each other.
