This book is part of a series (A World of Biomes) written by Johansson and all subtitled "A Web of Life." That, and the specific title, pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the content in each book. Each 5-chapter book starts with a chapter about a specific animal (the forested taiga is on the wolf), then has chapters on the biome, its communities (web), its plants, and its animals.
This series is EXCELLENT. Laid out very well, and consistently throughout series so finding information is easier. Written in easy to understand language with text features that are also well done and serve their purposes. Colorful, but not distracting.
