The Spirit of Christmas Book 3 was published in 1989 by Leisure Arts, and here I am in 2023 still reading it. Usually once a year I read through the series. The inside cover says:

More than a day or a season, Christmas is a experience of the heart - one that prompts us to give the very best of ourselves to those around us. Inspired by this understanding, we find that within each of us there lives a little bit of the kind old gentleman we've come to associate with the spirit of giving. Caught up in that same spirit, all our holiday preparations become an expression of the love and warmth that fills our hearts. This special book was written to help you fashion the best celebration eve. With its help, may you discover anew the joys of Christmas and create a memory to carry in your heart throughout the year!

That says it all.

The third in this series, this book is full of crafts and recipes for the holiday season. Unlike many craft books that focus on one medium, this book is packed with crafts for different mediums (cross stitch, sewing, etc.). There are patterns, full color photographs, and very detailed instructions. I think this one has more recipes than Book One.

Altho now some of the decorating ideas seem dated, this book is still a good source for ideas and I still use many of the recipes.
