Inheriting an Irish Groom

Rate this book
He’s grumpy, gorgeous, and deeply annoyed by her. Perfect.

When Aisling O’Byrne catches her fiancé in bed with her boss, she doesn’t just walk away—she scorches the earth. She ditches Manhattan for a surprise inheritance in Mountshannon, Ireland.

nosy. Judgy. And way too interested in her business.

To claim her grandmother’s crumbling estate, Aisling must live there for six months. Her plan? Renovate, sell, and flee. Easy—until she runs into Ronan Gallagher, her childhood fiancé turned brooding literary snob.

He hates her goat. She hates his rose bushes. And thanks to an ancient family feud, he’s practically required to hate her.

But between goat-related crimes, long-buried secrets, and sparks she didn’t expect, Aisling starts to wonder if she was meant to run away… or finally come home.

Enemies to lovers. Grumpy/sunshine. Small town chaos. One reluctant heroine.

Welcome to Mountshannon. She’s not leaving anytime soon.

Inheriting an Irish Groom is an easy to follow enemies to lovers plot that gets kickstarted with a dose of well-deserved revenge after Aisling O'Byrne comes home from a business trip to find her fiancé in bed with her boss. The story follows Aisling to Ireland, where she becomes caretaker of her late-grandmother's estate. It's there that the real story begins to unfold as she pieces together the turbulent history of her family, overcoming past grudges that shaped the present.

At times, the romance felt unearned and the MMC seemed far too obsessed with the MC for the amount of time they'd known each other. In fact, the entirety of the courtship and resolution to the enemies to lovers plot felt rushed, especially considering a good chunk of that time was spent either as enemies or slighted lovers. There was hardly any peaceful reconciliation so the ending felt rushed and unrealistic for someone who had just overcome family trauma as was the case for Aisling.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read, if not a bit too fantastical at times. Had the main romance been given more time to breathe perhaps the story would've made a bit more context in relation to Aisling's healing process. As it stands, however, she jumped from one failed relationship to forcing herself to build a new life in a new place. The time jump reveals her life is at peace, but it comes off more as the expected thing to have done, especially with the pressures of the small village weighing on her. I do wonder if in a few more years, Aisling would resent how fast she moved into her new life, but for now, she has found her happily ever after.

This book is very good and I really enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend it to all of you that want to read a really sweet love story.

This is the story of Aisling O'Byrne who got a surprise inheritance from her grandmother in Mountshannon, Ireland. A grandmother she has never met. And one of the neighbors in Ireland, Ronan Gallagher. Their grandparents had promised them when they were born to wed each other in marriage. Aisling went to Ireland knowing nothing of this promise. She just knew she had to get away for Manhattan especially after catching her fiancé in bed with her boss. To claim her inheritance she must live here for 6 months. She has a lot of renovating to do on the estate so she has 6 months to complete the renovations, to sell the property and leave Ireland. And then she meets her snob of a neighbor, Ronan Gallagher. He comes barging in complaining of her goat eating his flowers. He hates her goat and the goat loves his rose bushes, and the feud begins.

Aisling loves renovating the estate, has learned to love the town and her neighbor. Having spent so many hours learning her history and spending the hours with Ronan is she going to stay in Ireland or return to the states?

Inheriting an Irish Groom #1 by Sylvia McDaniel.

Sylvia McDaniel has crafted a wonderful story full of charm, emotion, and second chances. After catching her fiancé with her boss, Aisling makes a bold move—one that leads her all the way to Ireland, where she inherits her grandmother’s estate.
There, she meets Rohan Gallagher, a man who might just help her heal and believe in love again. The characters are relatable and likable, and the chemistry between Aisling and Rohan is undeniable.

The story is easy to follow, emotionally satisfying, and captures your attention from the very first page. A perfect feel-good read! Highly recommend for fans of contemporary romance with a dash of humor and heart.

A wonderful read that you will eventually feel every emotion as Aisling O'Byrne rebuilds her life, after finding her fiance in bed with her boss. She moves from New York to Ireland to live in the home her grandmother left her with a goat that terrorizes the neighbor, Ronan Gallagher's rose garden, which she happens to be betrothed to according to her grandmother's will. As she remodeled her new home, she fell in love with the people of the quaint little village along with her neighbor after many trials and tribulations. She never knew who her father was, so she went on a search for him being totally surprised what she discovered there.

Aisling gets home from her business trip abroad to find her fiancé and her boss passed out in their bed. She silently sorts things out and leaves, hilarious and totally deserved! She goes to Ireland to find out about her grandmother who was estranged from her mother. Ronan is a local landowner whose family has been feudung with hers for years, due to disagreements over land ownership.
He's very handsome and she's attracted to him but is off men after her ex's treatment. The whole village is watching to see what happens.

Inheriting an Irish Groom by Sylvia McDaniel is a standalone, lighthearted read. 4.5 stars

Aisling finds her fiancé in bed with her boss and what happens next had me laughing hysterically, then she discovers she’s inherited a place in Ireland, where she discovers her mother’s past, who her father is, what her grandmother decided before she was born and so much more…starting over, laughter, banter with her snobby neighbor, Ronan, a wayward goat and finding where she and her heart truly belong.

I voluntarily read a copy of this book from BookSprout. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's hard not to admire the girl from the beginning of this book.
I felt how exhausted she was but she had a firm grip on her career and relationship until she didn't.
Boy what a burn she made!!!

The girl still has challenges but
it's completely different then she can imagine.

I love the setting of a small village with one mystery "best friend" (one star taken for barely an explanation of this friend) but I loved goat and tolerated insta love.

It's a satisfying read.

This was the most delicious book I have read in a while just count not wait to get to the next page. Aisling finds her boyfriend in bed with her boss and what she did to them was just desserts but finding out she owned a cottage in Ireland starts a whole new life for herself with its ups and downs. Wonderful book with the best characters.

I truly enjoyed the book. It was lighthearted and fun to read. Laughter was prevalent whenever the goat appeared! She was hilarious. Reading Aisling and Ronan's story was a delight.
New to Ireland, Aisling finds her past and present about to collide. Will her neighbor/betrothed come into play against her will or will things between them heat up on their own! Read this book now!

The writing flowed easily but it was told only from FL's POV so I couldnt really feel any attraction between the couple and the feud was flimsy.
I liked how the FL took revenge from her ex and the antics of the goat.
