If you can make it in New York City, you can make it anywhere. That’s exactly what Charity and Daquan are trying to do in this drama-filled love story.
Charity Manfredi is one of the hottest female tattoo artists in the city. She’s loving all the perks of having celebrity clientele to being featured in the hottest magazines. Being married to the owner of King’s Studio starts to have its problems as she struggles with being a wife and a career woman. That is until Daquan Davis starts working at King’s Studio.
Daquan Davis is an up and coming tattoo artist in Brooklyn, trying to make his mark in the industry by opening up his own shop one day. While dealing with his nagging baby mama, it keeps him on edge, but when she goes too far, he has to call it quits. Besides, he has his eye on the boss’s tatted up wife. When an opportunity is presented to Charity and Daquan, nothing will stay the same.
Cory Manfredi is Charity’s husband. Born to one of the wealthiest families in Staten Island, his ego is out of check. All he wants is a wife who stays at home, cooks, and can give him some babies. What happens when he starts spreading the love to someone other than his wife?
Will love, lust, and scandal push Charity into Daquan’s arms?

Yesss! It was refreshing to read a complete novel & not have to wait for a part 2. I absolutely loved the story line and the characters (even the ones I hated). Great job ladies.
I'm glad Charity and Daquan hooked up. Cory lying cheating butt had basically been unfaithful to Charity the whole time. And even with her suppose to be friend. Daquan had a good heart, even after went down with him Tavia. He was still willing to help her. Charity and Daquan was living good in the end with a great shop and a beautiful baby boy.
Good story but some holes in character development
I like the premise of the story but there seemed to be so many holes in character development for this to be a standalone novel. For the two main characters, I expected there to be more depth in their story. Also, there were a lot of grammatical errors.
Again I loved the fact that Daquan didn’t let his few hiccups discourage him from pursuing his dream of opening his own tattoo shop.its hard to speak on it without giving up story so I’ll just say ......happy reading
I usually read series because I feel like the characters are better developed but this standalone read very well. I hate that there were so many snakes around charity and am glad that the story ended the way it did.
Omg I loved the book.I wasn't expecting it to be like that but I loved it from the beginning to the end.It had my attention all the way thru.I felt for Dae because he tried so hard with Tavia and she was so ungrateful for wat he was trying to do.And then Corey was trifling as hell I swear I wanted to shot his ass,and his little side piece was so dumb like how you look her in the face everyday after you know wat you did and still doing. Then Charity didn't deserved wat Corey was doing to her at all.Im so glad she did wat she did in Miami.Im loving the way the book ending I'm glad everyone got a good ending I'm sad to see it end but it's a good sad ladies
Not a bad book could've been better but it was straight.Daquan has a dream to own his own tattoo shop and hustling on the side.Charity is married to Cory who wants a traditional wife but she wants to work as a tattoo artist.A trip to Miami sparks flame in daquan and charity and things change.Drama stirs in both daquan and charity lives but in the end they get their dream.
I adored this book. It was so many secrets and scandalous behavior it had me on the edge of my seat. I immediately fell in love with Charity because she was independent and displayed such realism. I was shocked at all the betrayal. I look forward to reading more from both authors. I highly recommend this book. #PageTurner
one of the best books I've read in a while. that Daequan tho, smh yesssss! charity was a cool chick, but everyone around her was so grimy. excellent work, that didn't need 3 or 4 parts! definitely recommended.
A breath of fresh air to read an urban novel what was not about drug deals fighting for turf and being disloyal for a come up. It was totally different from most books and the plus is it's a complete novel. Other authors need to take heed and stop making never ending series.
l loved charity she was a little slow to kick Cory to the curb but she did and got her king in the process now I'm not gonna comment on the others because once I find out you dirty its a rap
Now I loved this book. At least we see love wins out for Daquan & Charity. Even Tavia misunderstood jazz figured out her life. But that Cory, uhun-KARMA is a mofo...
This book was good! I read it non-stop and enjoyed every minute of it. It was a full novel so that was a plus as well. I'm looking forward to reading more of Niyah and Jahquel's books.
This book had me hooked from the start both authors did their thang in this book! I was so excited to hear that everything worked out in the end! I was cheering for Charity and Daquan love to last. Glad Cory got what he deserved too!
I like me some Daquan. Him and Charity were alright together, I guess. That darn Cory was a son of a something. And Charity's so call bestie. So messed up. So happy that Tavia got her life together.
