When she became pregnant at 17, she quit school to work full time just so she could provide her child with the life she never had. When she meets the man of her dreams her whole life changes. She learned to love and will do anything to protect her family.
Devin was the man every hustler wanted to be. His name rang bells all over the east coast for his riches and ruthless mentality. After losing his wife and unborn child, he walked away from the streets and started at the biggest record label in the south. Upon meeting Tierra, things are great that is until his past creep up on him and forces him to bring back his old ways.
Will their past destroy their love or will they make it through?

There were some errors but it was still a good read to say it was Michel'le's first book. It was pretty fast paced and I felt bad for Tierra. Teresa was definitely unfit and the things Tierra had to experience because of her was crazy. Smoov was a sorry excuse for a man and the way he went about getting with Tierra only proved he wasn't worth anyone's time or energy. I could tell Devin had a good heart, especially after he took Tierra in without knowing much about her. Things began looking up for Devin and Tierra, but as always, there's someone lurking to make things take a different course. I liked Brian up until he started talking crazy. Tierra quickly changed that and he truly underestimated her. Joyce had me mad with all the things she said to Tierra and Robin. One minute she was wanting something but as soon as Brian delivered she started complaining because it didn't turn out how she expected. I thought for sure Devin would jump on Joyce after all the things she said but Robin took care of that with no problem. I'm a little curious about Tenasia since Tierra is around now but I guess time will tell. And just like before, Teresa messed things up. I so hope Tierra doesn't try to build a relationship and handles her trifling ass. Marcus proved to be very dumb!!! I would read part 2 to see what else happens. Will Tierra be alright, has Joyce bitten off more than she can chew by being selfish, what will happen between Brian and Joyce after her little outburst, what more will Devin and Tierra have to endure on their quest to be together, and is Teresa ready for the consequences that's sure to come with the decisions she made?!

Omg where do I start...this book was all over the place. I was so excited to read this, I thought it was going to be everything I was looking for (hood romance). It was an ok read I hope part 2 is the last, I just want closure. On a good note Devin was a great guy and Tierra was a good person who deserved a good life.

A love story
This was not your usual drug dealer book this was a hood romance a d I loved it. I liked it but felt sorry for Tierra for all that she went through. It seems like she could not catch a break with anything. I just hope that in part 2 she is better and have some happy experiences.

HORRIBLE
I did not enjoy this book at all. The only reason I gave it a 1 star is bc you can't rate books with no stars. Seemed like the author forgot everything she said. What happen to the $100,000 That Smoov left Tierra? Still asking myself that question. I usually love every love story that I read, but this one was just.... HORRIBLE :/ I didn't even finish reading it... stopped at 21%. Another thing, Devin can't be no real thug... cuz ain't no real thug bout to trust some "homeless" person they find walking down the street enough to let her move in with them after only one day. Once again, HORRIBLE read. I want my money back!!! I will not be buying part 2 , nor will I finish reading part 1. COMING FROM A 14 YEAR OLD!!!

Hot dAmn this book was beast.Tierra went though alot living with her mother but meeting Devin changed her life.Devin and Brian are some cool dudes,and if it wasn't for Brian Devin wouldn't have found Tierra.Drama follows Tierra to Nc,but in the midst of it all she finds her father.Great storyline will have you crying laughing and wanted to fight all at the same time ready for part 2.Great job Michel'le.

book was awesome can not wait for part two need that book like yesterday ms Moore you did your thing now can you hurry up with part two please. lol. Loved the character I hope everybody I'd ok in part two I'm not a fan of Joyce at all and that damn tenasia is sneaky I don't trust her at all lol.

I just finished this book. I love the fact the Devin has a big heart for a thug. Just by him taking Tierra in so she could have a roof over her head and to take care for her baby. Her mom on the other hand is just trifling. Her and Smoove deserved what they get for all the trouble they caused Tierra. So ready for part 2 to come out.

Wow...This book is "awesome" Michel'le Moore. Seriously, it deserves more than a 5 star rating. But that's all we're offered. Can't wait to read the next book and find out what happens with Devin, Tierra and baby Destiny. Yeah, and the rest of the family too.

Unrealistic

I loved waiting on the sequel
I really like the sexual description while all of the sex scenes I just love all the action and everything. Get the sequel out ASAP

Great story i do not like Theresa tho. I like the storyline i am about to start reading part two now. Cant wait to see whats in store next.
