Manuel L. Quezon III Is a columnist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Editor-at-Large for Spot.ph. He was formerly Undersecretary of Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning. In this capacity, he edited the Official Gazette and headed the Speech Writers Group of the President. Prior to joining the Aquino administration in 2010, he hosted the popular history show The Explainer on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC). He was also a columnist for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and had served as Assistant Managing Editor of the Philippines Free Press. Among the numerous awards he has received as a writer and journalist are the Rotary Club of Manila's Journalism Award—the oldest journalism award in the country—for "Opinion Writer of the Year," and the English Essay First Prize in the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.
