There is so much good information here, things that other woodcarving books don't focus on (designing/drawing/modeling, modifying tools, bench discipline), or covered to a depth other books don't aspire to (holding devices, finishing). The pictures are colorful, clear, and up-close. The illustrations helpful.
(BTW, this actually Volume 2. See the cover image. Somehow Goodreads has screwed up the metadata on the book.)

Covers so much, yet provides so little useful information.
